#18 | TROUBLE — summer rain , gfriend " I feel like I owe you now "
HAEUN GLANCED AT herself in the mirror of her bathroom sink, attempting to do her eyeliner for what felt like the 127th time today.
"Three, two..." she muttered, balancing the eyeliner at the end of her eye. "One!" she turned her head, the tip of the eyeliner creating the most perfect and natural wing ever.
"Okay!" she cheered, turning her head to do the other eye. This was always the problem. One would look perfect, but the other wing would look like it was drawn on by someone's toes.
"One, two.." she bit down on her bottom lip. "Three!" she finished, turning her head. The final wing was good, not as good as the right eye, but it would do.
Blending out the edges to make the liner appear more softer, Haeun took a final glance in the mirror. Happy with how she looked, she let out a small giggle as she turned on her heel.
She was dressed in a fluffy, baby pink frock, paired with a white cardigan and long white socks, with black docs to complete the outfit.
"Haeun, be back by dinner, I'm making your favourite," her mom said, as she ran down the stairs and into the large living room.
"Yeah," Haeun nodded her head. "I'll probably be back before then anyways," she said, opening the main door. The sound of a car approaching told her that her ride was here.
"See you later, Mom!" she said, waving her mother out as she exited the house and shut the door behind her .
Opening the passenger of the black convertible, Haeun was greeted by the scent of a watermelon car freshener and a strong men's cologne.
"Hey," Jungwon said with a small smile, and Haeun felt her heart start to thump in her chest. He looked extremely handsome today, dressed in a navy blue shirt and black dress pants.
"Hi," Haeun smiled back, slinging the seatbelt over her shoulder and buckling it in. "There's this place near the beach, and it's not to busy. I thought it might be the best place to study peacefully. I used to study there when I was in high school, too" he said, reversing out of the driveway.
"Hopefully your smartness will rub off on me," Haeun sighed, resting her chin on the palm of her hand as she leaned against the window. "I really want to pass the beginning of year tests!"
