A/n: I apologies if there are any inaccuracies in this chapter or any chapters to come. I'm no longer able to watch Ninjago as I write, so I'll just be using the transcripts. If you know of any YouTube videos/channels that have full episodes for upcoming chapters, please send me a link through the comments or pm. Also, do you guys prefer to read it like P.I.X.A.L. or Pixal? Let me know in the comments. Thank you!

Charlie smiled to herself as she hid her bike with leaves. The ninja had hidden in a small forest meadow near a Monastery, where Charlie was sure no one would find them. "This is the perfect place to lay low." She said. "No robots, no cameras, no problem."

Nya walked over to Lloyd with a green bundle. "Still, if any aerial drones pass overhead, you better wear this. It will scramble their signal so they can't find you."

Lloyd chuckled. "Yeah, this is sweet." He went behind a clump of trees to change out of his Golden attire.

"Charlie?"

The Purple Ninja turned to see her mother walking toward them. "Mom?"

Misako hugged her daughter, but she seemed to be worried. "Oh. What are you all doing here?"

Lloyd stepped out from behind the trees, his new green gi blending in. "The Overlord's back and New Ninjago City has fallen under his control. He has Sensei Wu."

Misako embraced her son. She held his shoulders when she pulled away. "Wu's tough. There's a reason he's lived as long as he has."

"We'll, where's Dad?" The Green Ninja asked, peering around his mother.

"Yeah, where's Lord Garmadon?" Kai asked as he walked away from his camouflaged jet.

"He no longer goes by Lord." Misako answered. "Here, he is Sensei Garmadon and he won't be back until this evening's lesson."

Charlie smiled at her father's reformation. She had spent years longing for him, and now, she finally got her wish. But it seemed the Blue Ninja was more skeptical.

"Uh, did you just say Sensei Garmadon?" Jay asked.

"I'm just glad he's on our side now." Zane said. "With Sensei Wu gone, we could use the help."

"Come in," Misako gestured toward the monastery atop the hill. "But your weapons are not allowed. Ever since Lloyd saved his father, Garmadon swore an oath to never fight in hope to make up for his evil past. It's an oath he takes very seriously."

"But we're supposed to protect these with our lives." Kai said as he held his Techno Blade.

"And never let them out of our site." Jay added.

"You guys go on ahead." Zane said. "I will stay back and watch over them."

The ninja grinned and thanked their friend as they handed their Techno Blades to him. "Thanks, bud." Charlie said.

In truth, the White Ninja wanted to join his friends, but he figured he would meet Charlie and Lloyd's father sooner or later, so he could take one for the team.

As they walked up the hill, a group of kids were playing with a ball. One girl kicked it and the Fire Ninja caught it. Looks of shock and excitement crossed the children's' faces as they ran to the ninja.

"Ah, at least there's some places left in this world I'm still considered cool." Cole said as Kai tried to give the kids their ball. But they instead ran past them to Lloyd, oohing and aahing over the Green Ninja.

"Nope," Charlie chuckled taking her boyfriend's arm. "Still totally lame."

Cole rolled his eyes. The kids eventually came over to them. One hung off of Cole's arm and another gave Charlie a hug.
