Chapter Nineteen: You're, Like, My Favorite Person
Episode Five: Boo, Bitch
Dallas wobbled her way outside, spotting Marcus on his bike. Marcus got off, helping her on. "Marcus you shouldn't be driving this." Dallas slurred, accepting his help on. He passed her a helmet. "I know, Dallas. But you called." Marcus states. Dallas sighed softly, "Hold on." Marcus told her. Dallas did so, wrapping her arms around his torso tight. Marcus took this as an signal to swerve off.
They soon reached the Baker house, traveling secretly to his room. "Am I a bad person Marcus." Dallas asked, crashing on his bed. "Of course not." Marcus said, taking her hand. "My own sister hates me." She whined, sitting up. "Ginny?" Marcus asked. "I don't understand." She sniffled.
"What's wrong, what happened?" Marcus asked, concerned. "She thinks i'm perfect, thus she's jealous. She's the one who has it well." Dallas said, Marcus just stared. "Why don't you think your perfect?" Marcus asked, rubbing his hands over her knuckles. "I'm just not Marcus." Dallas said, looking at him with her puffy eyes.
Marcus sighed, pulling her in for a hug. That led to her sobbing. "You're, like, my favorite person." Dallas whimpered. Marcus couldn't help but give a sad smile, running his fingers through her now-puffy curly hair.
He pulled away from the hug, wiping her eyes and kissing her forehead. "Hold on I think Max is back." Marcus said. "I wanna come." Dallas whined. Marcus nodded, helping the girl to her feet and supporting her all the way to Maxine's room.
Maxine gasped dramatically. "What?" Ginny asked. "I believe in ghosts and vampires." Maxine states. "No, like, they exist among us." She continues, holding Ginny's face. "Yeah." Ginny agreed, getting the drunk girl's bed ready. "They're here." Maxine spoke, looking around dazed. "Yeah, they are. There's one over there. Come on." Ginny said, putting the girl on her bed.
"Max, what the...Shit." Marcus said, looking at the state of his sister.
"Marcus? Max? What's going on?" Ellen called from downstairs. "Sorry, Mom." Marcus spoke. "My mom." Maxine said, trying to get up. "No, no." Ginny disagreed. "I was just trying to..." Marcus tried to come up with a lie. "I love her." Maxine told Ginny. "Okay." Ginny answered. "Trying to scare Max." Marcus spoke, still supporting Dallas. "You got any chips on you?" Maxine asked Dallas. Dallas nodded, making her way over to Maxine and pulling stolen chips out of her bra. Marcus looked at her, biting his lip.
