Harry and Louis went for a walk yesterday and it was actually good for his hangover. But not for Harry's emotions, which were still overboard and he constantly had to look sideways and notice how Louis' bottom was swinging back and forth with every step he made. Harry kept wondering why Louis, as a man, had to swing his hips like that?
He was almost happy when Louis brought him back home and then finally said goodbye. Harry was emotionally drained and just wanted to be alone and sleep. The fatigue was heavy on him, so much, that he no longer even felt the need to stuff himself with sweets. Curled up in his duvet, it didn't take long for sleep to overwhelm him and yet he couldn't help himself from the fact that Louis was his last thought before he fell asleep.
A few days have passed since then in which both of them only messaged each other, as Louis was busy with his lectures and studying and Harry with his courses. On the one hand, it was relaxing to fall into his old routine and yet have someone who at least sent messages every day to ask how he was doing, and on the other hand, he already missed Louis in person. That's exactly why they both agreed to meet today.
Harry has ended his last course and will be picked up by Louis in fifteen minutes. And so he uses the showers and changing rooms after his participants have all left and freshens up himself. He had already put an outfit in his bag this morning for the afternoon with Louis, but now that he looks at it, he can hardly bring himself to put it on.
What was he thinking packing a white cardigan with lots of red hearts on it? Louis is more likely to suspect his sister is wearing such an item of clothing than Harry. But he has no other choice unless he wants to go shopping in his yoga clothes. While he nervously chews on his lower lip, he puts on his light jeans with holes at the knees, a tight-fitting white shirt and the cardigan on top. His hair is still in a bun from the yoga class and he decides to leave it that way. He sprays another spritz of his perfume on each side of his neck and quickly checks the time on his phone. Louis has to be there at any moment and so he makes his way outside after locking the door to his studio.
His gaze scans the surroundings outside but he doesn't yet spot Louis among the people. He keeps fiddling with his cardigan and breathing deeply, trying to remember that Louis isn't a judgemental person and that Harry had actually enjoyed finally having the freedom to choose his clothes when he moved to London. He internally scolds himself for constantly worrying about what someone might think of him and tries his best to stop it.
Louis is already ten minutes late and Harry looks at his phone every minute. He repeatedly skims the chat with Louis and makes sure he hasn't made a mistake about the day or time or whether Louis has sent him a message saying he's late, but nothing.
He probably doesn't want anything to do with you anymore. He must have finally realised that you are a freak and not worthy of his friendship.
Harry's thoughts are once again running wild, his self-hatred is on full display as it always is in situations like this and even though Harry hates it, he can't really do anything about it. While he's still thinking about whether he should just accept the fact that Louis doesn't seem to want anything to do with him anymore, he suddenly hears his name being called.
Harry's face inevitably breaks into a wide grin and he walks towards Louis in quick steps. Louis himself is also beaming all over his face and spreads his arms already, still a few steps away from him.
Grateful to see his friend, Harry falls in his arms when they finally come face to face, flooded with relief that Louis was just too late and didn't stand him up.
"Sorry darling, a professor was in a talking mood today and stopped me," Louis says, wrapping both arms around Harry's back and pressing his face into Harry's shoulders.
