"What happened?!" Eren, Armin, and Mikasa all run up behind me. "What are you looking at?!" Eren yells. I slowly move my hand to point at the wall. He gasps.
What we saw before us was something way worse than thunder or an explosion. What we saw.
Was a titan.

"Our house it over there... mom is!" My heart raises at the mention of my mother's name. I help, but think about what I said earlier.
...
Me and Eren watch as our mother squirms in the fist of the titan. Not only are her fists pounding on the Titans Hands, but her legs are kicking it as well.
...
The last words I ever spoke directly to my mother were horrible ones. I'm a horrible person. I'm so sorry, mom.
I'm so, so sorry.

As Hannes Dashes away from our house and through the streets of our now destroyed town. I finally begin to stop struggling. At this point, there's nothing I can do now.
My mother is dead.
For the first time in a while, I finally take a look around and imitately regret it.
The streets are completely ruined. Every shop, every house, everything I've ever known until this point has been ruined.
I slowly use my hands to cover my face.
And for a while, it's quiet, just the sound of Hannes running.
But obviously, that silence doesn't last forever.
Eren turns around and...
PUNCHES HANNES IN THE HEAD?!
"We were so close to saving mom..." eren grabs Hannes hair
"Eren."
"Don't think we will thank you for this!! we were so close!!" Eren elbows Hannes in the head
"Eren, stop!!!" I yell as I kick him away from me.
It seems Hannes has the same idea because he throws eren off of him."Get a hold of yourself!" He yells
"Eren!" Mikasa wiggles out of Hannes's grasp and runs over to eren.
I slowly clime off of Hannes as well, "Eren." Hannes says
"You weren't able to save your mother because" Hannes bends down. "You lacked the power to do so."
Eren crawls over and throws a weak punch at Hannes, to which Hannes easily stops it
"But I..." he pauses."I couldn't face the titan because I also lacked the courage to fight!"
