I wanted to think that whatever is currently happening in my life is just one big fever dream. However, when I woke up the next morning, I was still in my bed with swollen eyes. I had to ice it before I stepped into the shower to get ready for the day. As the garage door was opening, I got into the driver's side of my RS5. I then threw my work bag in the red leather passenger's seat before I pushed the key start. I've always loved fast cars, so when I saw this dark blue sport's car in an Audi dealership, I knew I had to get it. It has been my car ever since I moved back here to the Philippines.

While I was on the way, I was spacing out. I probably got honked at for about three times on my way to the campus. I cried myself to sleep last night knowing that the fate of my career lies in Caelan's hands. He told me last night before he left that even if I get ahold of his phone, he already has copies sent to his other devices, so trying to delete it would be a lost cause scenario.

Caelan Viglianco is now officially my tormentor and enemy.

I am the older one and I should know better, so I decided to just wait this one out until his infatuation or whatever kind of thing he thinks he has with me is over. He's young and I am hoping that it will pass over time. Preferably sooner.

After my initial classes, I headed to the bleachers with my laptop. I sat in the middle of the stainless steel steps and looked at a huge field. The sun wasn't that harsh so I was able to see Caelan in the field running laps with his teammates. When he felt my gaze, he looked to my direction and then he continued his drills.

This is not bad at all. I guess, I get to have some fresh air and sunlight while I work. And so, while he was practicing, I was typing and scrolling away in my laptop. Hindi ko naman maiwasang panakha-nakhang tumingin sa direksyon niya dahil magaling siya.

I found myself shutting my device and watching the mock game even if I didn't understand that much.

All I can see is that he's efficient at what he does. He's running across the field like it's nothing, he's fast, and he knows how to steal the ball with his feet. He actually towers all the players and he has a much bigger physique. Even if he has physical advantages, he has a good skill set. He can do tricks with the ball and kick it to the goal with no effort.

He has a bright future in this sport.

And I know that he made it his life's mission to be the vain of existence but I still care for him. He's young and clearly talented, I wanted him to not throw his life away and seeing him play like this just adds to that fire.

My parents made sure that I won't have to worry about any of my financial needs even if they're on the other side now. If I didn't really care that much about my teaching career, Caelan could release the video and I'll still be fine financially.

But it matters to me, I won't be able to sleep at night knowing that the reputation and career that I worked so hard for will just be for nothing. Making it up to Caelan matters to me too. I still haven't forgotten what I contributed to his life, nine years ago.

So if it means he can torment me and not throw his life away in the process, I think I can handle it and play his game.

"What do you think of the Viglianco boy?" Nagulat naman ako nang marinig ko ang boses ni Berjilio.

I was so deep into my thoughts that I didn't realize he was standing beside the bleachers. I had to look down at him dahil nasa may kataasang parte ako ng mga upuan.

"Oh, hey." bati ko. He was wearing his usual formal attire consisting of a dress shirt and slacks. His forehead is shining as the sunlight hits it. "H-He's okay. I wasn't really paying attention. I'm only here t-to have fresh scenery, you know." I let out a nervous chuckle. I'm definitely not watching one college student play.
