Chapter 53: Paparazzi

"So..." I looked around to make sure that nobody was around to listen in.

"Yes, ma'am?" Niko said as he stood beside me.

"How are things going with my teaching assistant?" I asked him and cleared my throat. My hands are working on the engine bay of a Porsche 911 here in the driveway of my house.

"Alright, ma'am.....I like him a lot."

My hands paused and I smiled up at him.

"I'm happy for you. .....I didn't know that you guys were a thing until that...." I told him.

He nodded lightly.

"Well, there are still a lot of things you have yet to find out about me, ma'am." He smiled.

"Can't wait."

Tumawa siya. It was the first time that he actually laughed and looked....carefree.

Hindi nagtagal ay lumabas na si Caelan mula sa front door dala ang Stanley cup ko at ang aking Fendi shoulderbag. His attire seemed appropriate for the weather since naka-shorts lang siya, he paired it with his walang kamatayang Uniqlo t-shirt collection, at ang white Givenchy lowcut shoes na binili ko sa kanya. My name hung around his neck like a brand, meanwhile a Rolex glinted on his right forearm, habang ang may pink friendship bracelet naman ang isa niyang forearm, on the bracelet there is 'Dad' that is written on it. I also have one on my left wrist that says 'mom'. We've never taken it off ever since ChiChi gave it to us last week.

I loved seeing him in a prim and proper professional suit, while our daughter's handmade pink bracelet peeked through his crisp cuffs. I finally closed the engine bay when I made sure everything was well. I had to make sure everything is still in place since it has been a while since I used my navy blue Porsche 911 Carrera convertible. My daily drive has always been the BMW SUV when I'm with ChiChi and my M5 for when I have to go to UCLA.

Since our daughter is at school, I decided to use my convertible.

I dusted my hands and smiled up to my baby daddy.

"Hi, pogi."

He smiled charmingly, his gray-blue eyes gleaming with joy. His blond hair is now growing out because I asked him to. Because we had been living by the beach, his skin is getting more tanned and turning into golden brown.

He didn't answer, instead, he crouched down and gave me a kiss on my lips.

"You look so hot when you work on your cars." He whispered.

Hindi ko naman maiwasang mapangiti.

"Just had to make sure that my engine oil and coolant didn't dry up."

"Fúck, are you talking dirty to me right now?"

I bursted out laughing and I jokingly hit his chest. When I turned around, he smacked my åss.

"Daddy." Pinukol ko siya ng masamang tingin sandali.

He bit his lower lip and shamelessly raked his gaze on my croptop and high-waisted shorts. He let me wear such small clothing since it's getting warmer in California as the summer season is approaching.

I made my way to the driver's seat.

"Niko," I heard him say as I was standing by the opened door.

"Watch the French boy closely."

"Yes sir." Sagot naman ni Niko.

Sunod-sunod naman akong napaubo. Oh, he will do more than watching, but I shut my mouth and gave him a reassuring look that I have his back.
