Chapter 58: Secret

"Hey, honey.." I greeted him softly when I opened the front door. ChiChi fell asleep after we watched Moana. After I tucked her to bed, I went downstairs with my current romance book and read while I waited for Caelan to come home.

"Hey, mommy.." Malambing naman niyang sagot at niyakap ako bago siya nagtanim ng halik sa aking buhok. My man is very tall, so I couldn't even look over his shoulder. My face could only reach his hard chest. When I moved to close the door I saw Niko standing by the door with a smile on his face, but somehow, I could see some worry in his eyes.

"Honey, are you okay?" Tanong ko kay Caelan nang maisara ko na ang pintuan.

"Yeah..." He murmured as he held my hip in his big, tattooed hand. It sounded like he didn't mean it. "Let's go upstairs."

"No, come here." I told him and pulled his hand to the living room. The tall lamp by the couch and as well as the moonlight that gleams through the glass walls dimly lit our house. "Sit down." I said which he immediately did. I tightened my satin robe and stood in front of him.

His hand rested on the side of my thigh as he looked up at me with those gray blue eyes.

"What's going on?" I asked softly.

He licked his lips.

"Did you realize that there are other hotter women in the bar?"

"Mommy, no." Sagot naman niya. He reached for my hand and pulled me to sit in his lap. His natural manly scent mixed with liquor filled my nostrils. "It was not even about any woman at all."

"Then tell me what's going on." I said and cupped his handsome face.

"Well..." He held my hands on his face and brought my palms to his lips before he held it between us. "I...I found out Niko likes men." He blurted it out and smiled.

Sunod-sunod naman akong napaubo.

"H-How did you know?" I asked.

Sandali siyang napatitig sa akin.

"You knew?" Kunot noo niyang tanong.

Napalunok ako.

"Y-Yes."

"You knew it was with your former suitor." He said.

"Well...he wasn't really my suitor." I replied and finally told him the truth between Cade and I.

"So all this time you weren't really trying with that boy?"

"I did. Before he told me that he was just faking it with me. Our brief contact made me realize that you're the only one." I said as I caressed his cheek.

Napangiti naman siya nang malawak bago niya ako hinalikan. His lips tasted like mint and alcohol. I loved that combination, but somehow it wasn't the case tonight.

"I don't like your smell tonight." I scrunch my nose.

He stared at me with those blue eyes.

"Hmm.." He said and caressed my stomach. "Maybe ChiChi's little brother is on the way...?" He cocked an eyebrow that made me giggle.

"I wouldn't be surprised since you're literally doing me everyday. Raw." I jokingly rolled my eyes. "I already abstained from alcohol just in case, but don't be so sure yet since I haven't tested yet."

He smirked and kissed my jaw.

"Okay, mommy. I'm still gonna do you every day even if your stomach is already swollen with my second child."
