The Chiefs were on a hot streak, and Taylor was determined she wasn't going to miss today's game, despite Travis' concerns.
After a rocky start to the season, the Chiefs had gone undefeated since October, and if they did the same again today, the AFC West would be sealed just in time for Christmas.
The issue was that she was just days away from her due date - Christmas Eve - and Travis was worried that the stress and excitement of another game would send her into labor. They'd talked it over and over all week, Taylor determined that she was going to be there, and Travis had had to give in knowing the steely look in her eye.
He had appealed to Brittany for help, Taylor's friend knowing just how uncomfortable and tired she was at such a late stage in her pregnancy, but Britt had dismissed him out of hand, reminding him that she had gone to a game back in 2022, with Bronze's induction scheduled for the very next morning.
Taylor did find Travis' concern touching, but she was also getting irritated with his hovering, which he was doing now as he watched her get dressed, ready to head out to the stadium himself after returning from the hotel.
'Travisssss', she warned, elongating his name in a tone she hoped was a warning to him.
'Okay, I'll back off', he held his hands up in defeat, before adding, 'You look beautiful, by the way'. Dressed in a simple black turtleneck sweater dress, hair in a bun, red jacket and gold accessories, Travis thought it was one of her best outfits yet.
Scoffing, she turned to face him. 'Oh, I do not. I look massive, is what I look like'.
He shakes his head, turning her to face the full-length mirror and hugging her from behind, hands coming to rest on her bump. 'That's all baby, baby. You look great'.
He kisses into her neck and bids her goodbye, before heading downstairs and doing the same with Andrea, Scott, Austin and Mia, before heading to the stadium.
They were planning to have an early Christmas today, knowing the possibility of having a newborn baby next week was high, and so both their families were in town, the Kelces meeting them at the stadium. Taylor went downstairs to find Mia already dressed, a Santa hat with '87' on her head complimenting her red jacket, and they left a little after Travis had.
When they arrived and had been brought in on the usual golf cart. Taylor set Mia on the ground while she got out of the cart, and Mia promptly took a tumble on the concrete, unluckily for Taylor, right in front of the usual assembled photographers. Her reaction was typical of her age, a cry accompanied by a high-pitched squeal, as Taylor frantically tried to get her on her feet. The baby was proving to be in the way, though, and Austin stepped in to scoop her up off the floor.
The crying didn't stop, and Taylor took her in her arms in an effort to shield her face from the crowd. She knew lots of the media personally, and they were all kind to her and the family - she knew they wouldn't take pictures of Mia in such a state, but she could never trust them fully, so she tried against Mia's will to quieten her down.
They started the walk through the corridors of the stadium to the suite, Mia still screaming, not at all happy with her mother's efforts to calm her.
'Shh, baby, it's okay, you're okay. We're going to see Uncle Jase, are you excited?', she whispered to her as they walked.
Not even the mention of her favorite uncle seemed to calm her, and Taylor started to grow concerned, looking round at her mom for help. 'Do you think she hurt herself when she fell?', she asked Andrea, noticing the worry lining her mom's face.
