3. Dragonfire

My eyes widened when I saw the boss.

Level 28.

"K-Kirito! What do we do?"

"Isn't it obvious? We kill it!" he yelled, dashing off at high speed.

The monster kinda looked like a morbid snake, which was awesome.

But then it lashed out and paralyzed Kirito.

"KIRITO!" I shouted, pulling out my sword and holding it over my left shoulder.

Then I realized that there was no one else in here. It was a trick.

I attacked it, cutting its head clean off.

"Yes!"

"(G/n)! Look at its name!" Kirito exclaimed, the paralysis wearing off already.

Hydra.

I cut off its head.

"Dammit!" I yelled as two heads sprouted from the stump where the spot I cut off the first one.

I didn't do much damage in the first place. Maybe 10%?

Crap! My level's too low to fight this thing!

Instantly, a dark shadow flew over my head, slashing at the center of the creature.

"(G/n)! Get back!" Kirito exclaimed. I nodded in response.

He fought against the boss for about five minutes, getting it down in the red zone, before he was flung across the room, bringing his HP bar to the yellow.

"Kirito!" I jumped up and unintentionally struck its critical point, making its HP drop down to zero.

There was a flash and the sound of shattering glass. I looked at my left arm, which had a huge digital gash in it.

"Well then, that was fun." I muttered sarcastically before falling flat on my back.

"Ow."

"(G/n)!" Kirito ran to my side, pulling out a health potion, "What were you thinking?"

"I was thinking that we were both going to die if I didn't do anything." I said with an edge in my tone.

"Here." he gave me the potion and got up, then he opened up his menu.

After drinking it all, I sighed, then my gaze hardened as I opened my own.

A notice appeared in front of Kirito.

"Huh?"

(G/n) wishes to be your friend. Do you accept?

He looked down at me.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah." I was waiting for him to accept when a notice popped up in front of me.

You have recieved the legendary item . Would you like to equipt it now?

I stared at it, then clicked the blue button.

A sword dropped into my hands.

It had a light blue sheath, and seemed to be a normal katana. When I unsheathed it, it was a aqua blue tinted silver color.

It was beautiful.

"Last attack on the boss, huh?" I whispered to myself.

Kirito sighed, pressed a button, then left.

Kirito has left your party.

"Hey!" he kept going, and I stood up, "Come back!"

Then I reopened my menu and went through my friends list.

Kaliss

Kayla

Kial

Kirito

I smiled.

I knew I could convince him.

I watched as his figure left to the fourth floor.

I'd better see you again, you emo idiot. I thought happily, then teleported out of the boss room.

By the way, I put an easter egg in this chapter for my friend, who begged me for this.
Sorry for the short chapter and the lame as hell fight.
I have a short case of writer's block.

Rin: Yeah, yeah, Aki-chan.
Me: *whacks him with a random leek* you have to call me Akita.
Rin: why~?!
Me: cause I said so, dammit!
