6. Rebellion

The entire guild was called to a meeting the next day.

"My fellow members," the guild master started, "There is a boy out there who is helping the Knights of the Blood Oath, whom we have declared war upon."

We what?!

"This boy is our primary target..."

No.

"The Black Swordsman..."

I don't believe this.

"His name is..."

No. Stop it.

"Kirito."

"NO!" I screamed, making everyone look at me, "Erm..."

"Do you have something to say, Miss (g/n)?"

"I-I'd like to go after the Black Swordsman. Solo."

He looked at me like I was crazy.

"You want to try and take down the Black Swordsman by yourself?! Are you insane?!"

I paused, then held up my hand, saying non-verbally 'a little bit'.

He shook his head.

"Fine. Fine. Do as you please."

I sent a message to Kirito, telling him where to meet up.

I leaned against a tree, waiting.

Where is he? Jeez, he's taking forever.

I rubbed my sore wrists, then sighed.

"Why did I do this?" I whispered.

Something tugged on my cloak from above. Just as I was about to look up, I was pulled into the tree.

I cried out in surprise.

"(G/n)! It's me!" the figure whispered.

"Kirito? You-" he covered my mouth and put a finger to his lips, then pointed somewhere.

I followed his gaze.

Nothing.

"What?"

"Just wait."

I watched as the guild master emerged from the trees.

My eyes widened. Three people followed in suit.

They were all from the Holy Dragon.

They followed me?!

"Is she here?"

"The map says she is."

"Well, I don't see her!"

I felt fury begin to consume me, then I leapt out of the tree and viciously attacked him.

"You bastard! Why the hell did you follow me?!" the blow took about ten percent of his HP.

"We were going to give you backup."

"That doesn't mean you follow me!" I shouted, "And..."

"What?!"

I smirked.

"And I don't think we're on the same side. See, my 'delay' from the Laughing Coffin members was me meeting up with Kirito. I'm with him."

As if on que, Kirito jumped out of the tree.

"You bitch." the guild master growled, then full on charged at me.

Now, the guild master of the Holy Dragon is really, really scary. No one's ever beat him.

All that will change.

I deflected every blow effortlessly.

How am I not the guild master? He can't even scratch me!

Kirito was dealing with the other three with his sword, Elucidator. Or should I say one? The other two were on the ground, not dead.

I dashed off from my fight and finished them.

"Kirito! Don't kill anyone, alright?" I exclaimed as I came closer. He nodded and continued to fight.

I resumed my fight with the guild master.

"You're nothing but a dirty, lowly rebel." he snarled.

"Yeah, that's me alright."

I was flung back deflecting his sword.

Dammit!

I tried to get up before he could get me, but I knew that I was too late.

I closed my eyes and braced myself.

I waited.

And waited.

And...

I opened my eyes slightly, then the shot open at what I saw.

Kirito was in front of me, a huge gash in his chest.

Then he stabbed his Elucidator into the enemy's critical point, the heart.

I looked for Kirito's HP gauge, and it was nearly gone.

I got out a health potion and held it to his lips.

"You idiot," I muttered as the guild master exploded into polygons, "What would I have done if you were gone?"

"Fought on to get out of the game." he said after drinking the entire potion. He sat up.

Then I saw movement behind him.

I leapt up with Dragonfire and slashed the remaining Holy Dragon member rapidly.

"Leave. Kirito. Alone." I said darkly as I killed him.

Then I looked back at him.

"You killed someone, Kirito. Why?"

"I was protecting you."

I smiled softly.

"Now what did you want to tell me?"

My expression turned solemn.

"The Holy Dragon Alliance has apparently declared war upon the Knights of the Blood Oath, and you were working with them. So you were a target. I came to warn you."

"Well then. That's surprising. Let's get away from this place, ok?"

"Alright, Kirito-kun." he started to walk away, but stopped.

"Kirito-kun?"

"Sorry. Do you not like it?"

"It's alright."

I walked beside him as we left the floor.

Me: Jeez, Kirito-kun. Are you ever gonna stop sacrificing yourself for girls?

Kirito: *shrugs*

Morpher: KIRITO-KUN!

Kirito: *sweat drops*

Me: here comes the fangirl who has nosebleeds of rainbows and sparkles and unicorns. *Shakes head*

Rin: yeah, cause you can say anything.

Me: shh... I know i have a bunch of shirtless pics of you, but shh...

Rin: YOU WHAT?!

Me: oops.

Me and Kirito: *running from Morpher and Rin*
