A few hours had passed since we had left and we were making our way to our new home. The weather was beautiful there was nothing but sunny skies. My mother said that she purchased a house somewhere in Upstate New York by a little town called Fultonville. I was excited to live in the country I always wanted to have a place where it had open fields and beautiful views. Also my mom said I was allowed to get a dog since we had plenty of space. She also said that since we were going to be living on a farm that we can get a lot of other kinds of animals. Amazingly my mom had already got a job lined up too so she will be working at a local convenient store. So everything was set. As for school since it's the start of summer so I don't have to go. But in the fall my mother said that I will be unschooled which is learning through life itself. I'm totally fine with that if I really want to learn something I can just look it up on the internet and find it out. Also, attending a real school would put my records online to where I am living which we don't want "The Monster" aka my dad to find out.
About two hours later we pulled into the driveway of our new house. The house was really beat up everything was overgrown and the grass was about knee length. It definitely would need a lot of work but we were up for the challenge. But to me this house was perfect. We opened the car doors and walked into the house. It was a little house and there were only 2 bedrooms and a small living room and kitchen. Shockingly the inside of the house wasn't nearly as disgusting as the outside though. Everything seemed to be in ok shape and there were a few pieces of furniture left for us.
Over the next few days we cleaned the house preparing to bring all of our belongings into it. By the time we were done cleaning the house looked great. We would need to paint all of the walls again and probably buy some new furniture but for right now it was perfect for us. My mom chose the bigger room which was supposed to be the master bedroom. It had an attached bathroom that I am really jealous of. But the good news is I get my own bathroom to which is great but I just have to walk into the hall to get to it. My bedroom is a little smaller than hers but that's ok. I don't have a lot of stuff so that's fine with me. I began bringing all of my possessions in the house and arranging them into my new room. It looked pretty good for now but I couldn't wait until we went shopping and got some new paint and furniture. It was about 5'o clock when we heard a knock at the door. Cautiously my mom made her way to the door. We needed to make sure it wasn't The Monster coming to the house to get us. She peaked out the window and let out a sigh of relief. It must not be him otherwise she probably would be freaking out. She opened the door and it revealed a nice looking women. My mom invited her inside so that she could talk with us. She introduced herself and said that her name was Kirsten Fredericks and that she was our next store neighbor. She also said that she had 3 kids and a husband and their names were Skyler, Aric, and Sawyer. My mom talked with her for a while and when they were done talking Kirsten invited us to dinner at their house the next day. My mom agreed that we would be there.
