After Kiyan kissed me last night, we stood there for what felt like hours. He pulled me so close into him that I could feel him breathing. Eventually, our breaths synced. It was nice, but I didn't sleep at all.

"Vinnie." Kiyan taps me.

"Hm?"

"Get up so we can meet Cat and Zain. We're going out again, remember?"

"Oh. Okay. I'll be down in a bit."

"I'll sit and wait for you, so get up and ready." he says then plops back on his bed.

"It's fine, just-"

"I'm waiting."

I pull the covers off of me then walk to my clothes: what am I feeling today?

"Did you pack a pair of black sweatpants and a black hoodie?"

"Uhhh," I say while searching, "yeah, why?"

"Wear that so we can match."

He's so weird.

"We're not even dating, that's weird."

"Oh, don't you start that stuff again with me, Vinnie. We made out last night and you stared into my eyes like I was-"

"Okay!" I cover my ears and go into the bathroom.

I freshen myself up, and for the first time in a while, I put on a little lipgloss. I stopped trying to 'doll' myself up when I started going to school with Neil. He automatically made everyone talk badly about me, so it was useless. Now, there's Kiyan.

I walk out of the bathroom, hair freshly straightened and an outfit to match his.

He looks at me and smiles, "you look so good, Spot."

I avoid eye contact and try not to smile, "whatever. Let's go, they're waiting."

I grab the door handle and start to open it but Kiyan closes it.

"Give me a kiss, please." he says.

"No. Last night was... a misunderstanding. It was an in-the-moment thing." I refuse. I liked it though.

"And? Get in the moment again." He leans down, staring at my lips.

I lean upwards too, but instead of kissing his lips, I peck his cheek.

"That's all you're getting from me. You better keep your mouth shut too, or I'll never hear the end of this from Zain and Cat."

He laughs, "fine, I'll settle."

When we get downstairs, it's just Zain, Cat and a few others down there. Everyone else must've left already.

"Good morning." I say.

"Hey. We were waiting for you two in the hot tub last night, but you guys never came." Cat says.

"Yeah, I was talking to... Rain." I say, as I spot him.

"Oh. Hey, Vinnie!" he waves. He does a light jog over with a smile, "these your friends?"

"Yeah. That's Zain, Cat, and Kiyan."

"Nice to meet you guys. I'm Rain. You might've met my little sister, Riley. She's a real, uh, doll-face."

"Doll-face, sure. Whatever you say, man." Cat mutters.

He laughs, "I can't say too much, she's my blood. What're you guys planning today?"

"We're gonna go get some more ice cream, then probably go ice skating." I answer. "You're coming, right?"

Kiyan tugs the back of my shirt, meaning he's angry I asked.
