chapter 35

Livia's POV
I rushed out of the house with a driver and two bodyguards that insist on following me.
Josh was asleep
I didn't even inform Enzo.
What happened to her?
I hope she's ok.

I quickly open the door and I saw her lying down on the bed, covered with sheets, she was shivering and sweating at the same time.
I walk to her, touching her forehead and her temperature was really high.

"Hey, babe.
You've got a really high fever."
I said, rushing to her med kit, helping her to sit up,I gave her medicine and water.
She just kept staring at me,her eyes were dull teary, my heart ache when I see her in that state and as usual I started crying, suddenly she giggled.

"I'm fine really."
She said

"Just, don't say anything.
You have to sleep, now go to bed.
I'll prepare dinner, yeah?"
I said and I covered her with the duvet.

By the way, where's Evan, he's supposed to be here, you are sick, how can he leave you alone.
I have to call him.
I said getting my phone.

"Don't bother calling him.
He's left"
She said, with a breaking voice.

"What do you mean?"
I asked.

"I....I....he broke up with me."
She said crying and I was shocked at first and I couldn't just believe what she said because Evan was a good man and I thought he could take care of her so I'm really really broken seeing  my best friend in tears like this it really broke me apart

I sit up going to her patting her head, wiping her tears she lean her head on my thigh.

"Please stop crying get a grip on yourself, he is not worth it let him go I'm sure you'll find someone better than him that too very soon, I'm going to stay with you till you are okay"

"How about Josh??"

"He'll be safe."
I said, assuring her.

"Now go to sleep, I'm here."

"Please don't go"

"I won't go anywhere, silly."

I said and I started stroking her hair she fell asleep I quietly get up i grab my phone, calling Enzo ,he picked up real quick.

"Where the fuck are you?"
He asked

"I'm with aurora, she's sick."

"When are coming back"

"I can't leave her alone,"
I said and he paused.

"So you are planning on living me alone with a kid?"
He asked, lazily.

"Can't you take care of him?
He won't even bother you. "

"I can't let you stay there. It's not safe."

"Not safe?"

"Yeah. Alec will come get you."
He declared.

"I...I can't just leave her here, she's my best friend."
I said as quiet as I can, not to wake her up.

"Fine."
Both of you will have to come back.

"Okay then."
I said

"He'll come, now."

"How's Josh?"
I asked him and hear him sigh.

"He's eating."

"Okay."
Then we hung up.

I sat down on the couch.
