The Malfoys' Christmas was far from enjoyable, unlike the Slytherins'. Their house exuded darkness and gloom, devoid of any laughter, cheer, joy, or love. It was a place where emptiness prevailed.
As soon as they stepped foot into their home at the beginning of the Christmas break, the twins were banished to their separate rooms, forbidden to utter a single sound. Their father had his peculiar companions over, and the twins were strictly forbidden from approaching them. These individuals were known to be ruthless, heartless, and merciless. The only respite from their confinement came on Christmas day, when they were finally granted permission to leave their rooms.
As they entered the house, it was clear that the decorations didn't match their youthful expectations. The only sign of festivity was the towering Christmas tree, adorned with colorful presents, standing proudly in the living room. Descending the stairs, they were greeted by their radiant mother's warm smile, contrasting with their father's somber expression. It was a familiar scene, a reflection of their unique Christmas tradition.
The absence of laughter, joy, and the cherished tradition of watching films as a family was disheartening. There were no moments of playing games together, no shared laughter echoing through the room. Instead, it was a solemn affair of opening gifts and departing. Sadly, they didn't even have the pleasure of enjoying a Christmas dinner.
The Malfoy twins could never comprehend the hype surrounding Christmas, as it seemed to be the complete opposite of what the holiday should truly represent. Rather than feeling the excitement and joy that others experienced, they viewed it as just another day filled with the exchange of extravagant yet meaningless gifts. All they truly desired was to cherish precious moments together as a family.
After unwrapping their meaningless gifts, they ascended the staircase. Rather than going to their respective rooms, they both made their way to Darcy's room. Unbeknownst to their parents, Draco had pilfered a muggle invention known as a TV, and they had successfully installed it in Darcy's room. They skillfully got it up and running, and ever since then, they have been enjoying delightful movie nights together.
This experience was as close as the twins would ever come to having a true family bonding moment. Excitedly, they burst into Darcey's room and eagerly switched on the TV. Without hesitation, the movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas" began to play. It suddenly dawned on Darcey that Moxxi had always adored this film, and now, in that very moment, she understood why.
Darcy and Draco were captivated as they watched the enchanting figures gracefully dance and sing on the screen.they fell in love with the film.
Draco couldn't forget how Darcy mentioned that Moxxi adored this movie. It only intensified his fondness for it.Draco eagerly anticipated returning to school, his heart aflutter with anticipation of seeing her. He couldn't help but wonder if she would adore the necklace he had carefully chosen for her.
He didn't know why he cared so much though. She hated him.
Didn't she?
