You had been friends with Cara Delevingne since your high-school days. You were surprised she chose the path of a model, but you supported her all the way, and so she would drag you to fashion shows and galas, and she had you walk red carpets with her.
You were a music writer and had written a few songs for popular artists, and at first, you used an allies afraid of all the judgement that came with fame, but Cara really helped you face the music.
People started realising who you were, some even happy to put a face to the name of the writer of their favourite hits.
You simply stepped into the spotlight because people wanted to know who Cara's permanent plus one was. You didn't mind.
Your whole world was tilted when you got a call from Taylor Swift's team asking if they could get your details to pass to Taylor because she wanted to work with you.
You met with her, and you were blown away by the musician and person she is. You even got to meet Jack , one of your idols.
You wrote music with him too and soon you had more artists calling and you were flying around the world producing music.
Then came the interviews and the gala invitations and award shows.
You were dressed in a jumpsuit, refusing to wear a dress. You were grateful too because the wind in the red carpet seemed obnoxiously hard.
You were overwhelmed with all the screams and trying to focus on the interviewer, but when fans started yelling, you looked to see who it was and smiled upon seeing Taylor enter the scene.
"That's Taylor Swift." You squealed in excitement, and the interviewer laughed while you stood on your tiptoes swaying around to see her.
"She looks so good." You said, and the interviewer agreed once she saw her too.
"Oh, here she comes. Helps having long legs." You commented to yourself, surprised by how fast she walked.
"Y/n?" Taylor called with a large smile before rushing over and throwing her arms around you. You wrapped yours around her middle, appreciating the comfort.
"You're doing great." She assured before pulling away, turning to the interviewer.
"I'm sorry for interrupting. I just had to say hi." Taylor hugged your arm, and you were grateful for her grounding touch. "No problem."
"Doesn't she look amazing." Taylor looked at you and then the interviewer who nodded, smiling wide.
"You look stunning, too." You added a bit more shy now since she could hear, but you couldn't not tell her she looked amazing.
You and Taylor did a few more interviews, and she walked with you inside, introducing you to some new people whose names and faces you knew but forgot again.
"You really saved me." You breathed a sigh of relief when she handed you champagne from the passing waiter. "I saw your feet tapping, a nervous habit you have." Taylor said, and you looked at her surprised.
"Sorry that sounded creepy. We've seen each other like four times." She chuckled, and you shook your head. "Still, I appreciate it." You thanked her again.
"I know you're usually with Cara, and she is an amazing distraction. I thought you'd be a bit overwhelmed by the famous people and flashing cameras. I know a familiar face helps ease the nerves." You nodded, breathing deep again, realising you had kind of forgotten to do so while on the carpet.
"Anyone you haven't met yet you want to meet?" She asked, and you laughed, shaking your head. "I can't even remember their names." You rubbed your cheek and took a gulp of the champagne.
"You get used to it." Taylor squeezed your arm in reassurance. You stuck by her side, grateful to find out your seat was next to hers.
You and Taylor sat talking when she gasped and jumped up to hug someone else.
"I lost you after our photo." The melodic voice laughed, prompting you to shift to try and see her face.
"Meet Y/n." Taylor turned and gestured at you, so you quickly stood holding your hand out to the new face.
When she turned to look at you, your eyes widened, Selena Gomez. You felt her hand slip into yours, but you didn't rgeister until she began shaking.
"Hi." You blushed, and she smiled at you looking flattered. "Nice to finally meet you." Selena said, and you chuckled, nodding.
"I told Abel I'd say hi. I'll be back." She told Taylor, then gave your shoulder a squeeze before leaving.
When Selena was gone, Taylor burst out in laughter, making you snap out of your daze and look at her. Now red as a tomato.
"For a master at words, you just failed horribly." Taylor giggled, and you smiled a bit embarrassed but enjoying the laughter falling from her lips. "Stop." You playfully shoved her shoulder, and she wiped her tears away.
"You lied to me. You have a celebrity crush." She scolded as you both sat down again. "Taylor, how was I supposed to tell you I have a big fat crush on your best friend?" You rolled your eyes as she shrugged.
"I would have loved it." She said nonchalantly, and you rolled your eyes. "Of course you would." You sunk into your chair, and she tapped your knee.
"Come on, sit up. Selena looked interested in you. Come to think of it, she's asked a lot about you." Taylor said, and you sat up at the new information. "She did?" You asked, and she nodded.
"Talk to her. She's totally chill." Taylor encouraged, and you nodded excited. "Okay." You took a deep breath, and she patted your back.
"It's not a deadly mission. Just conversation." She teased, and you rolled your eyes. "You weren't very chill when you met J.T." You shot at her, and she gasped.
"I was eighteen." She defended, and you hummed. "Still. I'm nervous. Pretty girls tend to do that to me." You admitted, and she laughed.
"Since I now know you're not shy, think I'm pretty?" She teased, and you raised a brow. "Can't deny it. You barely spoke the first time we met." You turned red and sunk into your chair again.
"You're being mean." You pouted, and she laughed again. "Sorry." She patted your shoulder, and you hummed, not believing for one second she was.
"Hey, you okay?" Selena sat next to you, leaving you between Taylor and Selena. Taylor was smiling, having the time of her life seeing your red ears while Selena looked at you. "Just overwhelmed." You admitted, and Selena nodded.
"Well, you look great, and you're doing great." She squeezed your wrist, and you smiled at her. "Thank you." You looked into her eyes, mesmerised.
"No sweat." She smiled sweetly, looking into your eyes, making you grin.
"Easy on the heart eyes." Taylor whispered, very poorly, making you blush and look in front of you. "I think it's cute." Selena said with a teasing smile, making you grin at her until you realised she had heard Taylor.
"It's gonna be a long night." You said, making both laugh.
"Say cheese!" You saw a photographer in front of you, and you went to give a smile, but both Selena and Taylor kissed your cheeks, making you flush red and black out only snapping out of it when the flash went off.
"Bullies." You sunk into your chair, crossing your arms over your chest while both smiled in triumph at each other.
"Cara's gonna have to bring you around more." Selena grinned at you as you looked at her, unable to answer, so you looked in front of you.
"She will." Taylor said, knowing that your best friend loved putting you through this torture too.
You loved your friends despite the teasing they put you through.
