"You need help?" Jisung jumped despite having seen Minho approaching in the reflection of the mirror before them. He took a deep breath and shook his head as he took a step to his right in hopes that would calm down his heart rate, "what? No, I don't need any help."
Minho raised his hands in surrender, offering a friendly smile, "sorry, just seemed like you were having a little trouble with this part, that's all."
The funny thing was, Jisung was having trouble with it, but he didn't want Minho's help. Wasn't sure he could handle having the older so close, "no, I can do it."
"Oh really?" Minho asked, raising an eyebrow. Jisung knew he didn't believe him. Knew that the older knew all of his tells, but he continued to lie anyway, "yeah."
"Do it then."
"Why?"
"I'll give you twenty dollars."
"What?" Jisung laughed lightly but avoided eye contact anyway.
"Show me you're having no problems with it and I'll give you twenty dollars and leave you alone," Minho replied, crossing his arms with a cocky smile. It wasn't hard not to believe jisung when he'd seen the younger struggling with his own eyes.
Since Jisung had been able to execute the move right a few times at least, he decided to straighten his posture, nod with a gentle, "fine," and hope and pray that he'd be able to do the move properly. Unfortunately, Jisung messed up and stumbled the two steps he'd taken away moments prior right into the older male.
Instinctively, Minho grabbed onto Jisung's waist to stabilize them both so as to not fall. And while being thankful for such a thing, Jisung still wanted to be swallowed up by the floor because of a few factors. One, he'd just embarrassed himself in front of the guy he likes. Two, he loved the feeling of the older holding him in such a way even if it was simply by accident. And three, because he could've gained twenty dollars and now he for sure wasn't getting it. The cherry on top for his situation was the fact that their faces were super close. Too close. But Jisung found himself unable to move until Minho shifted his hands to hold him better. The movement made Jisung shiver so he pushed himself back, "fine, I'm having trouble with it, but I'll get it on my own. I don't need your help."
"Are you sure?" Minho asked, and Jisung could only wonder why Minho didn't see the slightest bit fazed by what had just happened. Not fazed by his hand placement. Not fazed by how close their faces were. Not fazed by the fact that if Jisung had stumbled any harder maybe they would have ki- "Jisung? You okay? You kind of spaced out."
"I um... I'm fine," Jisung shook his head, feeling his face turn pink because what the hell was he thinking? And why could he almost fucking picture it? Why couldn't he stop thinking about that idea?
"Jisung? Minho?" Jeongin called, pulling the attention of the two, "we're gonna run through it again, you guys ready?"
"Yes! Yeah," Jisung immediately answered as he practically ran back to his position. Hyunjin eyes the younger and asked quietly, "you good? You look flushed."
"I'm fine," Jisung assured with a smile, "let's just run through this."
Hyunjin furrowed his eyebrows and sighed gently after Jisung had turned away, the interaction not going unnoticed by Felix and Changbin who also shared a look right before the music started playing.
Hyunjin tried to keep an eye on the duo all while Felix and Changbin happened to only be watching Jisung alone which was also why they were ones who managed to catch the way Jisung was completely ignoring Minho. Usually, during their practices (and even sometimes while on stage), Minho would smile and even wink towards the younger, but this time Jisung was having absolutely none of it, making sure he wouldn't see any of it. When he was looking in the mirror, he refused to look towards the older, and when they were facing each other, Jisung still looked at himself in the reflection.
