After finishing the meeting with Montgomery and Célestin, they returned to the Harlem pack house, explaining the loss of all their data as the reason for their closed and angry faces. They left the pack the next day.

As before, Galen spent most of the time sleeping, with Morgan watching over him like a mother hen. They chatted in the car before deciding with the Amaroq what direction to give to their actions. One thing was certain, the humans were not going to help them. The number of Lycantrophobic messages on the networks and even speeches in the media were on the increase. Eric could increasingly see a confrontation between them and the hunters. He looked at Morgan in the rear-view mirror, who had been holding Galen for three hours without moving while Galen slept. Their eyes met. How could they ensure that their children were born in peace?

When they arrived in front of the Amaroq pack house, the first thing Galen did, even before greeting everyone, was to throw up. He was rinsing out his mouth when Lena joined him. She leaned against the door and smiled at him.

"Galen's going to have one baby."

He smiled at his sister in the mirror.

"Lena is going to have three. Lots of baby wolves everywhere! Old Wolf's house won't be big enough."

Galen wiped himself dry and went over to his sister to hug her. "Neither will our cottage."

Lena returned his embrace and pulled away, giggling as their bellies pressed together.

"The cousins say hello too."

She sighed with joy.

"We're a real family now, Galen. Eric, Lena, Morgan, Galen, Juliet too and Colin. Colin will be our real family. He and Juliet have to realise that they're in love."

Galen laughed softly as he took his sister by the shoulders and led her back into the living room, "They're not ready."

She puffed out her cheeks, "Too bad."

The fire was roaring in the fireplace in the Amaroq's living room and Maeva got up, with Curtis's help, to join Galen. She took him in her arms.

"Hello, hello my little Wolf. What wonderful news!"

Maeva had grown old, like the Amaroq. The losses of last year's packs were taking their toll. Now Maeva needed help to get around. Curtis, the young Omega, devoted himself to the task when he wasn't on a support mission. Like Galen, he had understood his powers late in life and Maeva was his guide. Galen liked the young Omega because, even though they were different, he could sometimes see himself in him. He hugged Maeva gently. The woman moved aside and placed an old, gnarled hand on his slightly rounded stomach. Galen half-closed his eyes as he felt Omega's power diffuse into a slight warmth in her belly. She sighed softly.

"You're tired, my little Wolf."

"I can't stop sleeping! I'm fine." Galen grumbled.

Maeva giggled, "Let your Mate take you home and spoil you a bit. It'll be soon enough to talk tomorrow!"

Morgan, who hadn't taken his eyes off the scene, didn't need to be told again. He took Galen by the waist, jealously keeping him away from Maeva. He restrained himself from growling at the Omega's power, which still repulsed him.

Once home, Morgan lit the stove and filled it with wood to warm the air, while Galen went to unpack their suitcase. As he finished hanging one of Morgan's shirts in the wardrobe, he felt two arms around his waist, two hands on his stomach and a tender mouth on his neck. He savoured Morgan's warmth and placed his hands on his. Another kiss was placed under his ear.
