A/N: Is this One Shot loosely inspired by the plot for The Little Mermaid? Why yes, it is! But obviously there will still be differences here.

Summary: For a good part of your life so far, you were repeatedly told to stay away from humans and Demons alike unless you were with an older Angel because they could both be equally dangerous.

You never let that stop you though, and one day, you manage to sneak away from your guardian in order to explore the Mortal realm.

But what you don't expect from that trip, is to meet your future partner. Because the instant you first see The Radio Demon, it's love at first sight for both of you, and you find yourself not wanting to return to Heaven.

Today was the day.

You were finally going to sneak out, and discover what lay beyond the Golden Gates of Heaven.

You were well past the age where most Angels took their first trip down to Earth, but due to an accident where you had been spotted by a human, and almost captured while practicing your flight, your guardian was now extremely over protective, and only let you leave their sight if you were with another Angel that they trusted.

So to say that you were feeling claustrophobic from being supervised all the time was the understatement of the century.

And that was why you were now sneaking through the Devine City under the cover of darkness. Your ears perked up to listen for the familiar sound of flapping wings.

But so far, you were in the clear, and the Golden Gates were in sight.

You were going to make it!

"(Y/N)."

Or so you thought.

Freezing in your tracks, you flinched, and turned around to see none other than Saint Peter standing there behind you. A disapproving expression on his face, and his arms crossed.

"Oh shit..." You muttered, angry at yourself for getting caught, and slumping your shoulders, as your wings drooped.

"Language!" The Saint snapped, his eyes narrowing. "You are neither a human, nor one of those filthy Demons. You are an Angel. A being of purity. And our kind does not use such foul language."

"Adam does." You stated bluntly, letting out an annoyed huff. "So does Lute. What makes the rest of us any different?"

"I-" Saint Peter held up his pointer finger, and looked like he wanted to say something, but clearly didn't have a good comeback, and just sighed. "They have always been more rebellious. But that does not mean you should follow in their footsteps. Now, go home. Your guardian will worry if they learn what you're planning."

"No." Your reply was instant and firm, catching the Saint off guard, and leaving no room for argument. "I'm not going back. At least not until I see what's down there. All of the other Angels my age have, and I will not be left out!"

"But (Y/N)-" Saint Peter reached out to grab your arm, as he tried to stop you again, but you quickly pushed him away with a growl.

"I said I'm not going back!" You hissed, becoming angry now. "Go. Tell my guardian of what I'm doing. Heck, go tell God for all I care. But I'm going to find out what the big deal about humans is, and you can't stop me!"

And with that, you turned on your heel, flapped your powerful wings, and flew through the Heavenly Gates. Leaving the stunned Saint standing there with his mouth hanging open.
