When Katsumi woke up the next morning, she was startled to feel an arm wrapped firmly around her waist. She was about to turn around and wake Shoto up but froze when he stirred, frightening his grip around her. He pulled her body close to his, and she was absolutely mortified when his lower half pressed into her, and she could feel his morning erection against her bottom.
Afraid she would wake him, she lay still, waiting for him to stir first. She didn't want any more awkward situations between the two of them and didn't want him to know she'd woken and felt... him against her like that.
He let out a soft moan against her neck when he started to wake, and her face reddened. She wasn't quite sure what to do. His lower half ground against her in his sleep, and she remained completely rigid, waiting for it to end.
She hated the fact that she was sort of turned on, feeling him against her like that. She pressed her thighs together trying to ignore the sensations in her own body, waiting for him to wake up. She tried to covertly slide away from him, but his arm only gripped her waist tighter.
There would be no freedom for her until he woke up.
Eventually, he did, and he slowly removed his arm from her waist and slid back against the wall, letting out a quiet yawn. She followed suit, pretending that she'd just woken up as well--not looking at him yet, as she knew her face was still beet red.
She finally let out the breath she'd been holding when Todoroki rose from the bed and headed for the bathroom. She turned onto her side and looked out the window, seeing that the sun was just rising. Checking her phone, they still had three hours until they were supposed to relieve the heroes currently keeping an eye on their target. She wondered if they'd discovered anything more than she and Shoto had been able to the past twenty-four hours.
A text notification from Ochaco appeared at the top of her phone screen, and Katsumi clicked open the chat.
Did you see this article? You two have been spotted, the text read. Katsumi frowned and clicked the link that Ochaco sent her. It led her to an Instagram profile with a million followers, and the most recent post was a picture of her and Shoto in the park last night.
Looking at the profile a bit closer, she snorted when she read the profile username, which was 'Shochans_Girlfriend'. Katrumi filed that nickname away to use against Shoto later.
When she clicked on the picture, she read the caption.
Shoto Todoroki was spotted last night in the park, attending the Annual Spring Festival, with a mystery woman. No details on who she is, but I say this for everyone when I say that I am disappointed! I hope he hasn't found himself a new girlfriend!
Katsumi frowned and navigated back over to Ocacho's text chat.
What the hell is that? she sent back. I don't know what they saw, but there's no way they think I'm his girlfriend.
Pictures don't lie, Ochaco responded with a winky-face emoji. Katsumi reopened the picture and took a closer look.
It was taken from the front; Katsumi was looking up at the lights with a small smile on her face, but Shoto's eyes were fixed entirely on her. Looking at the picture from an outside view, she understood how it could be misconstrued the way Shoto's fans had taken it, but she knew him and his disdain toward her--they just caught him at a weird time, and it made it look like he was eyeing her like that. His eyes were full of warmth, which wasn't something she saw on his face, ever.
Shoto came out of the bathroom, softly closing the door behind himself. He regarded her with a small nod.
"We were spotted last night in the park," Katsumi told him, holding up her phone. "One of your fangirl sites was all over it."
