Author's Pov
Serenity cleared her throat awkwardly taking a seat on the couch, after shopping Liliana got an important call from her friend and she asked Alexander to drop her on the way. Alexander did ask Serenity if she wanted to have a lunch but as she had no appetite right now she refused. Finally at last he drove them to his house and asked her to take a seat while he went to grab a drink.
Serenity removed her coat and looked around the familiar place when she finally heard footsteps reaching her. She found the tall man holding a tray as he placed it in front of her letting her take a look at the orange juice which he filled for her. After serving her his next move made her to go stiff on the spot.
He removed his coat followed by his tie that he loosened throwing it on the sofa. Uncuffing the sleeves of his shirt he rolled them up till his forearms making her gulp down watching his veiny arms which looked beyond sexy to her. He even removed his shoes and let his feet covered only with socks as he finally lowered his eyes and looked at the ogling girl.
The side of his lips tilted up in amusement, "Am I that handsome?" Hearing his teasing voice she snapped her head to the side taking a huge sip of the juice in her hand.
Alexander lowly chuckled watching ears turning red due to embarrassment as she was caught gawking at him. Grabbing his phone he sent a message to his assistant and took a seat on the couch leaving a decent distance between them even though he sat almost at the end of the couch but his huge body covered the distance between them making Serenity scoot a bit away which didn't go unnoticed by him.
"You're distancing from me like we wouldn't be dancing in a few minutes." He mocked reminding her how they almost had to hug each other in order to dance the way instructor told them. The blush over her ears deepened remembering the last time they danced.
After that first day she didn't dance with Alexander again, and even now she wasn't thinking about it until she got a call from Amelia telling her how Alexander had told her that they might not be able to dance as they hadn't practiced much but seeing how persistent the old woman was Serenity finally gave up and contacted the cold giraffe.
"Serenity," After a few minutes of silence Alexander called her name making her look in his way only to find his side of couch empty.
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even sensed him getting up until now, looking up she gulped in nervousness finding the rugged man forwarding his massive hand for her to take. Obviously he wanted to get over with it didn't he? She thought but only if she knew what his thoughts were.
Alexander from the time got a glimpse of her in this beautiful dress in that shop couldn't wait to feel her soft frame against his. He knew she had already refused to be with him, she had rejected his deal and it would hurt his ego if he didn't understand her reasons. Somewhere she indeed was right when she told him about wanting to have a serious relationship.
Watching her feebly placing her hand over his he didn't like the way she looked so reluctant like she didn't want, like she didn't want to be near him. And letting his possessiveness get the best of him he tightened his grip over her hand and in a second her body flew up colliding right against his earning a huge gasp from her.
Her one hand was cage in his while other was forced to hold his shoulder because of the sudden force. She pulled her face back letting her slightly widened eyes meet his blank ones. She gulped removing her hand from his shoulder and trying to get the other one out of his hand but instead of letting go he held it firmly.
"Alexander, what are you do--" She was again cut short when he without replying her held her waist pulling her feet off the carpet making her yelp in surprise as she held his shoulder once again.
