Giraffe blasting a bomb on rabbit.
Author's Pov
Serenity's jaw dropped the moment Storm's driver drove her to Alexander's mansion, it wasn't because of how big it was but the fact that it was build in completely in an isolated area shocked her. She heard about him preferring privacy and being an introvert person but she never thought he liked being alone this much.
The house was build in the middle of no where, the back of the mansion was occupied by a vast spontaneous forest, there was a huge railing with electric wires covering the metal to not risk any animal appearing in his house. The mansion wasn't as big as Xander's but it was still covering a lot of area.
No wonder why Amelia didn't agree with Serenity going alone there without taking the driver, the woman clearly told her that she wouldn't be able to find the place, so agreeing with her she went with the driver and finally they reached the place after a few minutes ride. The driver informed her that he will be waiting on the end of the road as Alexander didn't like having a car parked in front of his house.
She nodded and walked inside the mansion, to her utter surprise she didn't find any guard or house keeper there which tensed her. Amelia did tell her Alexander liked to live alone and he might be the only one present there but she actually expected him to have guards or maybe one servant but her assumption was indeed proved wrong.
The man was so weird, well after being an asshole. She sighed heavily before pulling a spare key out of her coat that Amelia gave her in case Alexander wouldn't open the door. And indeed he didn't open after she pressed the bell a few times. There was a screen like thingy attached to the wall beside the vast exit gate similar to what she had seen in Xander's mansion. But no voice came out of it making her sigh out.
And after waiting for at least five minutes sge inserted the key and opened the gate letting a shaky breath, she really didn't want to meet the giant man alone especially after how her mind had started thinking about him in a way she never thought she was capable of.
Stepping in she made her way inside the hallway and found the lights off, she frowned, "Is he at home or not?" She mumbled biting her lower lip. Amelia assured her that Alexander will be here for sure but now she was doubting it.
The lights were off and the way the only sound she heard was a light noise of wind and a loud creepy silence made her gulp down in anticipation. What if he really wasn't at home? He might think she had broke into his house. Gulping down her nervousness she pulled her phone out and turned the flashlight on.
Making her way further in with the help of her phone, her scowl deepened when she smelled a wood burning and her eyes fell on the fireplace finding the wood sticks letting out a smoke like it was on fire a few seconds ago and before she could take one step more a loud gasp erupted her lips.
Her body was grabbed by a large hand and before she could even protest further she was pinned on the couch dropping her phone on the carpeted floor yelping out in horror. In reflex her eyes were shut off and she felt a strong hands holding her wrists above her head. Her eyes were snapped open after just two seconds of being held hostage when she felt something cold touching her cheek.
Her brown panicked gaze met with familiar green ones which became the source of only her either irritation or anger but at that time all her eyes showed was fear. And who wouldn't feel afraid especially when being held under a scary looking hulk with your whole body being restrained by his weight. And most importantly,
Him holding a gun against your forehead, yes she had all right to be afraid.
"Serenity," A small whisper escaped his lips as he sighed lowly almost like he was relieved that it was her.
