Author's POV:

Everyone was looking in his direction, smiling, because Y/N had just arrived with Jennie.

She looked breathtaking in her green dress. As she came closer to her friends, Taehyung's eyes never left her, not even for a second. When she finally reached them, she greeted everyone, but then her eyes met Taehyung's, locking them in a deep gaze.

Suga cleared his throat, grabbing everyone's attention. "Taehyung, so Y/N is your date for tonight?" he teased.

Y/N's eyes widened, and she looked at Jennie, who nodded in confirmation. She then glanced at the boys, who also nodded, encouraging her.

But Taehyung—his heart was jumping with happiness. He wanted to hug his hyungs on the spot. His wide smile and shy expression said it all. Without wasting a moment, he dragged his hyungs to the corner and asked in a worried tone, "Hyungs, you're not kidding, right?"

"No way, Tae. You've got a chance. Go and make her yours," J-Hope replied with a wink.

"Right, go to her now," Jimin chimed in.

They walked back towards Jennie and Felix, who were deep in conversation and laughing. Everyone else had already moved to the dance floor with their partners. A few minutes later, Felix and Jennie joined them, leaving Y/N standing alone.

Y/N looked down, her heartbeat racing as Taehyung stepped in front of her. She looked up, and their eyes met once more. She remembered Jackson’s words: He fell in love with you three years ago.

Taehyung extended his hand and asked, "May I?"

She looked at him, then at his hand, thinking for a few seconds. Just as she was about to say yes, someone tapped her on the shoulder.

She turned to see Jackson standing there, smiling brightly. "Can I dance with you, beautiful?" he asked smoothly.

Taehyung stood there, boiling with anger, while Jackson smirked at him. Y/N was confused, but she remembered Jennie’s words earlier:

You promised me you wouldn't leave your date’s side tonight."Okay, ma'am, I promise," she had told Jennie.

Now, both boys waited for her answer. Y/N was very confused. She looked at Jackson, who was smirking at Taehyung, then at Taehyung, who looked at her with hope and love in his eyes.

She turned to face Jackson, and from a distance, J-Hope, Jimin, Suga, Jennie, and Felix were all watching the situation unfold.

Taehyung's heart ached when Y/N turned towards Jackson, and he was about to leave, but he froze at Y/N's words.

"Sorry, Jack, but Tae is my date tonight."

Jackson raised his eyebrows in surprise but then smiled, winking at her before walking away.

Taehyung felt like he was on cloud nine, his happiness knowing no bounds. From afar, their friends chuckled and smiled at Taehyung’s elation.

Y/N bit her lip and extended her hand. "Yes," she finally said.

Taehyung smiled softly, taking her hand and leading her toward the dance floor.

He placed his hand on her waist, but her back was bare, and she shivered as his fingers grazed her skin. Taehyung and Y/N gazed into each other's eyes as they danced.

"You're looking breathtaking, Y/N," Taehyung whispered softly.

She smiled shyly, nodding, but said nothing. She only smiled, not uttering a single word. Yet, Taehyung was happy—happy because she was with him.
