When Ahaan returned back to Malhotra Mansion, he found Savitri talking to Vihaan. He stayed far and started listening their conversation.
"Vihaan, we have a surprise for you!", Savitri exclaimed with joy.
"Surprise? What kind of surprise, dadi?", Vihaan asked being curious.
Savitri, smiling warmly, started speaking,"You always said you wanted a mummy, right? Well, we’re bringing a new mummy for you."
Vihaan was a bit confused but he asked with a hopeful voice, "Really, dadi? But mumma is with God now. How can she come back?"
Savitri felt bad for him."No, beta, she won’t come back, but she has sent an angel from above, who will come into your life as your new mummy.", she tried to explain him.
Vihaan, processing her words, remained quiet, listening intently. Despite the sadness, a flicker of happiness appeared in his eyes as he thought about having a new mother. Meanwhile, Savitri couldn’t help but worry about how to explain everything to Ishqi. The weight of revealing Vihaan’s past to her pressed heavily on her mind.
Meanwhile, Ahaan went into his room after listening their conversation. He locked the door behind him and a tear dropped from his eye. He pulled out an old photo of Vidhi from a diary and, holding it close, whispered in sorrow: "Why did you leave me, Vidhi? You know how much I love you. How can I marry someone else when my heart belongs only to you? You and only you will always be my wife, Vihaan’s mother. No one can take your place... ever. Please, come back." His voice broke, and more tears streamed down his face as he clutched the photo to his chest, eventually falling asleep, his heart heavy with grief. He may show to others that how strong he is but deep down he is an emotionally vulnerable person.
On the other hand, Ishqi returned home and immediately shared everything with her sister, Saumya.
Saumya was shocked listening her."What?! How could they hide something this big? How can they keep such a huge secret from you?", she asked with a concern.
Ishqi, tried to calm her sister, "Relax, Saumya. Yes, they shouldn’t have hidden it, but I’m okay with this marriage."
Saumya still looked Ishqi with a confused face.Knowing about her sister, Ishqi continued , "You know when I first saw Vihaan’s picture, I don’t know why, but I felt an unexplainable connection, like I’ve known him from before. He’s such an innocent child, and he’s been through so much... He must have yearned for a mother’s love. I just want to fill that void for him."
Saumya could see a glint of happiness in her sister 's eyes but she was still concerned so she gently asked, "Are you sure you’re truly happy, Di?"
Ishqi nodded with quiet determination and somewhere she felt she was doing the right thing. She had lost her parents few years back only still she is in grief now and that little child, he didn't get love of his mother, how much he have longed for his mother , she thought. She thanked God for giving her a chance to fill void of a mother in the kid's life.
With the preparations in full swing, both brothers were set to marry on the same day. Vihaan, for his part, was excited to meet Ishqi, his soon-to-be new mother. Everyone seemed joyous, except for Ahaan, who was merely going through the motions for the sake of his family and his son. Deep down, he felt conflicted and burdened by the marriage.
Savitri, feeling guilty for hiding the truth, had already apologized to Ishqi for not telling her about Vihaan earlier. Ishqi, understanding the situation, had forgiven her.
Finally, the day of the wedding arrived. Both couples were wed in grand, beautiful ceremonies. That very night, Savitri deliberately sent Ahaan, Ishqi, and Vihaan to their new apartment to give them space to bond as a family.
Vihaan, exhausted from the day’s festivities, quickly fell asleep. Ahaan and Ishqi, without exchanging many words, also went to bed, each lost in their own thoughts.
The next morning, life resumed. Ahaan followed his usual routine, while Ishqi got Vihaan ready for school. For the first time, she initiated a conversation with him."Hello, champ.", she said with a smile.
"Hi! Did my mumma send you from heaven to be with me?", Vihaan asked with a curious face.
"Maybe, yes.", she gently replied.
Listening about his mother, Vihaan could not hold himself back and he dropped his questions."How is my mumma? I’ve never seen her, not even a picture... Doesn’t she miss me?"
"Your mumma loves you so much, and she misses you every day. She loves you with all her heart.", Ishqi answered with a soft voice.
Vihaan innocently asked ,"Then why did she leave me?"
Ishqi placed a hand on his shoulder."She never left you, champ. She’s always been with you, in your heart.", she affirmed.
Vihaan's eyes widened with hope. "Really?"
"Really.", Ishqi nodded and replied with a smile.
Vihaan, pondered for a moment and then asked, "What should I call you? Dadi said you’re my new mummy, but I already have a mumma."
"Yes, I’m your new mummy, but if you don’t want to call me that, it’s okay. You can call me aunty or even friend if you like.", she replied with a kind voice.
Vihaan giggling."You don’t look like an aunty at all! I’ll call you friend!", he stated.
Ishqi laughed."Alright, champ. Now let’s get going."
Ahaan, having overheard the entire conversation, felt a rush of emotions. His protectiveness towards his son and mistrust over her stressed him. Once Vihaan was out of sight, he approached Ishqi, his tone sharp and filled with warning: "Stay away from my son. Don’t try to manipulate him with your sweet words."
Ishqi didn't want to argue with him now so she just went away.
Later, when Vihaan returned home from school with Ahaan, Ishqi eagerly approached him."Hello, champ! How was school today?", she asked with a smiling face.
Vihaan out of a sudden pushed her away. "Stay away from me! You’re bad! You want to hurt me and take me away from my papa!", he exclaimed in a angry and upsetting voice.
Ishqi was startled listening him."What’s wrong, champ?", she asked with a concern.
But Vihaan just shouted,"Stay away from me!"
He ran off to his room, leaving Ishqi standing there, shocked and hurt by his outburst.
Ahaan approached her and spoke with a harsh tone, "I told you to stay away from my son."
Ishqi spoke with a trembling bit determined voice,"Vihaan is not just your son. As of yesterday, he’s my son too."
"Stop this drama. I knew from the start that Vihaan was just your way of getting to me. But I promise you, I’ll make sure you regret it.", Ahaan exclaimed a bitter voice.
"Don't think too high of yourself Mr Ahaan Veer Malhotra.", she replied back and continued while holding her tears, "And remember Vihaan belongs to me too. I know how to take care of him. You can't stop me to stay away from him"
"If you ever hurt him, even by accident, you’ll regret ever marrying me.", he responded in a cold voice.
Without another word, Ishqi turned and walked away, her heart was heavy but she was thinking about Vihaan only.
