Chapter 21

Aleks POV

I turned around and saw a lycan beast stood behind me. I jumped up, dropping the blade and stumbled backwards as it moved towards me. It stopped growling as soon as it saw how scared I was and slowly walked forward. I moved back until my back hit another tree. The lycan kept coming closer until it stopped right in front of me. I closed my eyes, fearing the end. I opened them when I heard a low whine and saw the monster raise a clawed hand towards my face. I gulped down my fear and watched as it opened its claw, revealing my necklace. I stared at the necklace then back at the monster, finally figuring out who it was.
"W-wolfgang?" I whispered. The lycan nodded, it's tail wagging slightly. I collapsed to the floor, sobs wracking my body. The lycan crouched down in front of me and pulled me into its arms. I struggled to get free from its grasp before giving in and wrapping my arms tightly around its torso. I continued to cry, buring my face in Wolfgang's chest, tears rolling down my face. Wolfgang changed back to his human form and pulled me onto his lap. He mumered sweet nothings in my ears as he gently rocked me back and forth. We sat in silence for a while, Wolfgang just rocking us gently as my tears slowly died down.
"I'm so so, sorry my, little mate. I only rejected you because I thought that it would be safer for you to be away from me. It would put your life in less danger if we were not together; no one would try to destroy me or my pack by hurting you. I would not be able to live with myself if something happened to you that I could have prevented. I am so sorry, I did not think that us being apart would hurt as much, I thought that eventually the pain would wear off," Wolfgang whispered.
"W-well you clearly thought wrong, Wolf boy," I sniffled. Wolfgang chuckled lightly at my name for him and rested his head on top of mine.
"I know there's no chance of forgiving me anytime soon, but are we good?"
"I-I don't know," I mumbled. Wolfgang nodded and got up, scooping me into his arms and started walking back through the woods.
"I really am sorry, angel. I promise to make it up to you, starting right now. I will do absolutely anything for you, you need only ask."
"Firstly, ca-can you take back the rejection?"
"Already done, my love, I did that this morning before I came to school."
"Oh, ok. Um... I can't think of anything else," I whispered.
"Not to worry, angel, we have the rest of our lives for you to think of things," Wolfgang replied, kissing my head lightly.

We reached the school about half an hour later and saw Wolfgang's friends stood by his truck. As we got closer I started to make out some of what they were saying.
"Do you think he found her?"
"I hope she's ok, Aleks didn't deserve any of this."
"That bastard had better have found her and be trying to make it up to her."
"I'm sure she'll be ok, Wolfgang will have found her by now, I'm sure of it."
"Do you think we should go looking for her?"
"What if something happened to her before Wolfgang found her?"
"We would know if that happened. Wolfgang would have told us by now."
"Aleks!" The last one was screamed by Daniel who suddenly flew towards me and Wolfgang. He wrenched me out of Wolf's grasp and crushed me against him. I heard Wolfgang growling lowly behind me. "Oh shut up, I'm hugging my best mate," Daniel scowled.
"I thought I was your best mate," Scott pouted slightly. I laughed at him and tried to pull away from Daniel, but he wouldn't let go.
"Let her go, Dan," Caine sighed, pulling me out of Dan's grasp and into his arms. I was passed between each of the guys and then to Samantha before being pulled back into Wolfgang's waiting arms. I nuzzled my face into his chest, sighing contentedly. I give up trying to hate him for what he did, I miss him too much to do that.
"So I take it you two are back together now. Yes?" Daniel asked, looking at the two of us. I glanced up at Wolfgang and saw him nod happily.
"Good. Now don't fuck it up again Wolfgang, or I will kill you this time." Wolfgang growled lowly and rested his chin on top of my head. I shook my head at him.
"Come, little one, let's get you home," Wolfgang said, kissing the top of my head. I nodded and pulled away from him, taking his hand in mine and started in the direction of home. "What are you doing?" I stopped and looked back at Wolfgang.
"Uh... walking home?" I answered. Wolfgang shook his head and beckoned me over to him. I walked over and stood next to him.
"Get on. Hold tight, Aleks," he replied, shifting into his wolf form ad crouching down on the ground. I sighed and shook my head as I climbed onto his back.

Wolfgang and I made our way to my house, me still sat on his back as he trotted down the roads. We turned down the road to my house and slowed down. I slid off Wolf's back and walked up the driveway. I took a deep breath and opened the door, Wolfgang stood behind me, now in human form. "Are you ok, Aleks? What happened? Where were you?" Adam bombarded me with questions as he crushed me against him. I felt Adam tense suddenly and knew he had seen Wolfgang. "What are you doing here, mutt? You better be here to apologise," he snarled.
"I already have done. I know that she won't forgive me anytime soon, and I rightly deserve that, but I promise to make it up to Aleks; keep her safe and love her for the rest of our lives together, provided she is willing to stay with me," Wolf replied. I heard Matthew grunt in response and the sound of a gun cocking. I sighed and shook my head as Wolfgang started growling lowly. I pulled away from Adam and glared at Matthew.
"Put the gun down Matt: you are not hurting Wolfgang," I snapped. Matthew slowly lowered the gun and put it in his pocket. I took Wolfgang's hand and dragged him into the house, and up to my room. I shut the door behind us once we entered my room and sat down on the bed. "So, what happens now?" I asked as Wolfgang sat down next to me.
"You need to accept me as your mate, then we need to have a ceremony to officially make you Luna. I have to introduce you to the rest of the pack, sort everything out for having a human Luna. After that, I don't know." I nodded and rested my head on Wolf's shoulder. Wolfgang picked up one of my hands in his and kissed it, before resting it on his leg, tracing patterns on the back of my hand. "We'll get through this, Aleks, don't worry. Everything will be alright now. I promise."
