Chapter 5: We Get Mistaken For Death Eaters

Reyna woke up, groaning as she remembered that she had class. She changed into her Hogwarts uniform, fumbling as she struggled to put on her green tie. Reyna braided her hair, stuffed her books and wand into her bag, and headed up to the Great Hall to get some breakfast.

She saw Asher and was about to sit next to him, before she realized that she had to sit with the rest of the Slytherins. She sighed and sat down next to a girl with short dark brown hair. 

"Hello." The girl said, smiling unsurely, as if she wasn't used to smiling. It looked more like a scowl to Reyna.

"Hi. I'm Reyna." Reyna replied, putting some scrambled eggs and sausage links onto her plate.

"I'm Pansy Parkinson." The girl responded. The boy with white blond hair strutted into the hall. Reyna recognized him as the boy she had sat next to the day before.

"Hello, new girl." He said with a slight sneer.

"Draco...be nice." Pansy said warningly. Draco rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Fine." He turned to Reyna."I'm Draco Malfoy."

"I'm Reyna."

"No last name?"

"If I tell you, I'll kill you." Reyna said, glaring at him. Draco backed away from her. At that moment, the bell rang, signaling for them to head to class. She looked at her schedule and saw that she had double Charms, with the Gryffindors. Reyna smiled at her luck.

As she reached the classroom, she saw Asher, Harry, Ginny, Hermione, and Ron all standing outside of the classroom, arguing in hushed tones. When Reyna approached them, Ron gave her a dirty look.

"Oi, get away from us, you Death Eater!" He shouted in her face. In an instant, Asher's fist was onto the ginger haired boy's face. The hallway became crowded as students gathered around to watch them fight. Just as Ron was about to blow an uppercut, Ginny yanked him back by his shirt.

"Are you crazy, Ronald?!" Ginny exclaimed. Ron struggled out of her grip, sporting a bloody nose.

"That stupid git punched me first!" Ron protested. The people watching began to walk off.

"You told Reyna to get away from you, just because you think she's a Death Eater. That's hardly fair, Ron. " Hermione added. Then both girls turned to Reyna.

"I'm so sorry about my hot-headed and idiotic brother." Ginny said.

"It's fine." Reyna shrugged. "But what's a Death Eater?"

Harry, Ginny, Hermione, and Ron exchanged looks of surprise.

"You really don't know what a Death Eater is?" Harry asked. Reyna shook her head.

"She's lying, I tell you! Look at her Dark Mark! And he has one too!" Ron burst out, pointing at her and Asher's SPQR tattoos. Reyna and Asher burst out into laughter.

"These are just tattoos I got from Camp Ju-I mean from camp." Reyna said, almost forgetting that Ron and Hermione didn't know about the Roman/Greek world. 

"Mate, what happened to your eyesight? I think you're going blind, because those are definitely not Dark Marks." Harry said. Ron glowered at all of them and stormed off into the Charms classroom. Harry, Ginny, and Hermione followed suit. As Asher was about to walk in too, Reyna pulled him back and pecked him on the lips.

"What was that for?" He asked.

"That was for standing up for me, silly. But you know, I could've handled that myself." Reyna said, lacing her fingers with his.

"I know, but I'm your boyfriend. It's my job to protect and fight for you." Asher replied, kissing the top of her head. 

"Mr Emerson! Miss Ramirez-Arellano! Class started 5 minutes ago!" A squeaky voice shouted from below them. Reyna looked down to see a tiny man with grey hair and glasses that must've been Professor Flitwick.

"For being late, ten points from Gryffindor and Slytherin!" He continued. Reyna groaned inwardly. 

Hogwarts sucks. She thought.
