The next day, Reyna was sipping her coffee at Bombilo's when Frank and Percy walked in. She couldn't help but eavesdrop on their conversation.
"I really dislike the newcomers. That Draco guy keeps showing off his magic to Hazel during our dates! Aren't you mad about Annabeth not spending time with you?" Frank asked. Percy shrugged.
"I'm not thrilled about it, but Annabeth has a new friend now, and if that's what makes her happy, then I'm fine with it." Percy answered.
"You're right. But Hermione and Annabeth are just normal friends! It's not like they spend every single minute together! Hazel and Draco on the other hand..."
"Listen, Frank, if you really want to do something about it, confront Draco about it! Or challenge him to a fight, but that's probably not the best thing to-"
"Yes, of course! I'll fight him. He's useless without that wand." Frank rushed out of the cafe. Reyna facepalmed.
"What have you done, Percy?" She groaned. She ran after Frank. But it was too late, as he was already arguing with Draco.
"Stay away from my girlfriend!" Frank shouted, trying to sound threatening. Hazel stood by Frank's side trying to calm him down.
"Whoa, we were just talking! Besides, I have my own girlfriend!" Draco protested.
"Well, then get back to your girlfriend and leave mine alone!"
"Hey, Hazel's my friend now, and I can spend time with her if I want! I have magic, which is about ten times more impressive than what you can do. What can you do? Wave a sword around?" Draco said, laughing. Reyna stepped forward to intervene before Frank could shapeshift and mual Draco, but Hazel was already walking towards the blonde ferret. She slapped him across the face.
"We're friends, but don't you dare insult my boyfriend!" Hazel yelled. Draco glared at her and winced at the red hand mark on his face.
"And I can do so much more than wave a sword around." Frank declared. Draco scoffed. Reyna sighed. Even after being slapped, Draco was still arrogant. Frank took a deep breath and turned into a dragon, something he hadn't done since The Argo II fired on Camp Jupiter.
"Hey, go easy on him. He's not used to being beaten. It could harm his ego." Reyna said.
"I don't really care." Draco responded, looking a little shocked by the sight of Frank the dragon. Reyna glared at him.
"I wasn't talking to you, ferret." With that, Reyna went to stand on the sidelines, watching the fight. Asher walked up, confused.
"Your Majesty, what on Earth is going on here?" Asher asked, using the annoying nickname he had given her.
"Grain Brain, use your eyes. They're fighting." Reyna replied. Frank the dragon let out a roar of fire and Draco narrowly ducked before he got burned. Hermione and Annabeth ran out a moment later. Hermione ran toward Draco, but Annabeth held her back.
"Let them fight it out." Annabeth said wisely. Hermione stood still. A few minutes later, Frank had cornered Draco.
"Wait! I give up!" Draco yelled, panting. He put his hand up in surrender. Frank changed back into a human. Hazel walked up to him and kissed his cheek.
"Draco, are you ok?" Hermione asked, running over to him.
"No..." Draco said. Hermione huffed.
"Serves you right for provoking a shape-shifter. Let's go." Hermione said, pulling Draco behind her. Annabeth went to find Percy and tell him the story. Reyna turned to Asher.
"Let's contact Harry and Ginny. I want to see their reaction when I tell them the great Slytherin Prince was defeated."
