Chapter 8: Interrogation

Before Reyna could even reach the common room, someone grabbed her arm and pulled her into an empty classroom.

"Stupefy! Petrificus Totalus! Aguamenti!" Reyna shouted shooting random spells and struggling out of the person's grip. A hand snatched her wand away.

"Lumos." A girl's voice said. Reyna could now see her kidnappers. It was Hermione and Harry. 

"Glacius!" Harry suddenly said, pointing his wand at Hermione. She froze, encased in ice.

"Sorry about this Reyna. Hermione was really determined to figure out what you were hiding. Just pretend like you don't know what she's talking about and act like you're furious at all of us." He explained. 

"Oh, I am furious with all of you. Just wait until I get out of this classroom, Harry James Potter." Reyna said, silently fuming.

"Incendio." Harry said, melting the ice. Hermione blinked. It didn't look like she remembered what happened. Then, Ron burst into the room, shoving Asher in. 

"I got him!" Ron exclaimed.

"Good, now we can interrogate both of them." Hermione said, conjuring ropes to keep them in place and locking the door. 

"What do you want with us?" Asher asked resentfully. He caught Harry's eye and suddenly seemed to understand what was going on.

"Oh c'mon, stop acting. We know you're hiding something. And if you don't tell us, I'm going to....um....go to Dumbledore about this!" Ron said. Reyna rolled her eyes.

"So basically, if we don't tell you, you guys are gonna go tell on us like little kids?" Reyna asked.

"Um...yeah?" Ron said, unsure. 

"Just tell us what you're hiding! I'm not the brightest witch of our year for nothing. After Asher made that plant grow, I've been doing some research in the library. And I found a book on mythology." Hermione started. Reyna gulped. Could Hermione have actually found out that she and Asher were demigods? She was fine with Harry and Ginny knowing. Harry was Asher's cousin after all, and Ginny was Harry's girlfriend. But Reyna didn't think Ron and Hermione would take the news well.

"You guys are dryads, aren't you?" Hermione asked. Reyna felt a wave of relief wash over her. Asher started sniggering and quickly turned it into a cough.

"Yes! That's what we are. Dryads. Mm hm." Reyna said, nodding in agreement. 

"Well, then they can go now, right Hermione?" Harry asked. Hermione vanished the ropes and unlocked the door. Reyna and Asher walked out. Just then, she remembered that she was wearing the locket Asher had given her last Christmas. 

"Hey! You can have this back." Reyna called to Asher, unclasping the necklace and tossing it to him. He caught it and looked at it sadly. 

"Reyna, can you help me with something?" Draco asked, suddenly appearing out of nowhere. 

"Sure." She replied. Anything to get her mind off Asher.
