After her awkward encounter with Flitwick, Reyna fully expected to be horrible at Charms. However, she was surprised to find that she was actually really good at the subject. Reyna suspected it had something to do with her wand. What had Ollivander said again? "Reasonably supple. Perfect for Charms."
When Charms class was over, Asher and the rest of the Gryffindors headed outside to Herbology, while Reyna and the Slytherins made their way to Potions with the Hufflepuffs. As some students began to sit down, Professor Snape held a hand up to stop them.
"Get up, Mr Goyle. You too, Miss Abbott. I will be assigning seats this year, as you lot have shown me that you simply cannot handle the freedom of being able to choose your seating." Snape hissed.
"Mr Smith and Miss Parkinson, come here to the table up front. Mr Malfoy and Miss Ramirez-Arellano, sit at the table over there. Mr Macmillan and...." Snape continued, partnering up the class.
As Reyna and Draco sat down, the zipper on Draco's bag split and his things came tumbling out. He dove under the desk to put them back, Reyna went to help him. An assortment of things were in his bag. A green apple, an overdue library book, quills....and a moving picture of Hermione Granger. Reyna picked it up and looked at it in confusion. Why would Draco carry that picture around?
Before she could come up with any other possibilities, Draco snatched the photo from her hand and stuffed it back into his bag, his face red.
"Why do you carry around a photo of Hermione?" Reyna asked teasingly.
"None of your business, Ramirez-Arellano!" Draco snapped. When she heard her last name being said by Draco, she narrowed her eyes. The teachers could call her that, but this nitwit had no right.
"If you don't tell me....I'm going to speak to Hermione about this." Reyna threatened. Draco glared at her and muttered, "I have a crush on her."
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you. Say that a little louder?" Reyna asked, even though she had heard him perfectly fine the first time.
"I have a crush on Hermione Granger!" Draco shouted. The entire room became silent. Everybody in the classroom had heard him. He grabbed his split bag and ran out of the room.
For the rest of the class, people whispered and gossiped about Hermione and Draco. Reyna felt guilty. Even though she wasn't the one that said it, she had made Draco say it louder. Reyna didn't know he was going to be that loud.
The bell rang, and students shuffled out of the classrooms. Reyna could already hear murmurs being exchanged; no doubt that they were talking about Draco. As she was thinking of the places he could be, familiar arms wrapped around her waist.
"Hey Grain Brain. Did you see Draco by any chance?" Reyna asked.
"No, but I heard he had a crush on Mione." Asher replied. Reyna frowned. Mione? Was that what Asher was calling Hermione now? She couldn't help but feel a little jealous.
"Speaking of Hermione, I think she might be onto us. At Herbology, Professor Sprout asked us to tend to a small Mimbulus Mimbletonia, and I might've used too much of my power, because the plant grew to like, 15 feet tall. It kinda broke the greenhouse ceiling...and then after that, Mione kept giving me strange looks." Asher admitted sheepishly. Reyna face-plamed.
"We'll worry about that later. Right now, I need to find Draco and apologize. Where could he be?" Reyna said.
"How come you need to apologize? Also, I'll see you later, cuz I have to head to the library and borrow this stupid book on arithmancy." Asher said. A light bulb suddenly flashed in Reyna's head as she remembered Draco's overdue book.
"C'mon, I think Draco's in the library!" She exclaimed and walked as fast as she could without running, pulling Asher with her. Sure enough, when they got there, Draco was sitting on the floor, his back leaning against a shelf. He was reading a book.
"What do you want?" He drawled, closing the book.
"I just wanted to say sorry for-Asher, what are you doing?" Reyna said, looking at her boyfriend. Asher had grabbed Draco's book and laughed.
"Here, look at what he was reading." Asher said, tossing the book to her. The title was: Tips On How To Woo A Witch. Reyna raised her eyebrow at Draco as he groaned in embarrassment.
