Lana's point of view:
"His arm is broken, We need to put him in a cast. He'll have to do physical therapy, I can see about surgery but there's not much we can do," The doctor explains. I nod my head, "How much will this cost, not counting the therapy?" He smiles, "Around 2,000 Euros, Therapy will be 150 Euros for every session." I sigh, Great, this is just great."Okay, uhm, is he staying the night here, or can he go home," I eagerly ask the doctor. "Ms. Bianchi, I ask that you calm down. We will let you know shortly," he says, annoyed at my questions.
"No, you don't understand. That's my child in there, he's in pain. If he's staying the night, then I am too. I need to know if I need to call in sick for work tomorrow. I can work remotely, I just need to get my things. My boss doesn't know about this, I just left. You guys couldn't even call-" I start to angrily speak toward the doctor, but he calls a nurse over, saying, "aidez les Americains."
I scoff, "Je ne suis pas Amercain, mais Merci." The doctor's eyes widen as he apologizes, but I leave, not wanting to hear anything else from the man. Tilly and Jamie walk over to me, "I will cover all the fees," I go to tell her that I can do it myself, but Jamie talks over me, "No Florence, This is our fault. We should have been watching Elliott more carefully. We are covering the cost, that is final." I thank them, and the three of us find a seat in the waiting room.
"Florence, Who is that man that was with you, he's with Elliott now. He looks familiar, I swear I've met him before," Jamie asks me, and Matilda laughs, "Jamie, That's Charles Leclerc!! He drives for Ferrari, you've met him before!!" Jamie nods his head, thinking of the memories.
"Charles works with me, and he was the first person I saw when you guys called, so I asked him to drive me here," I explain to Jamie. Tilly looks at me, "I really am Sorry, I feel like I keep messing everything up for you, it's not fair." I laugh at her comment, "I know you didn't mean for this to happen and Hey, Don't say that. You both have done so much for me and E, we're both so grateful to have you guys in our lives."
She smiles warmly at me, then asks with a grin "So, Charles??" I blush as she and Jamie laugh, "He's a great guy. I only met a couple of days ago, but I feel like I've known him forever. Plus, He didn't freak out when I told him about Elliot. He's so understanding, and wants to know Elliott!! And I honestly think Elliott is going to kill me if I don't talk to him about Charles. His face lit up when he saw Charles."
She smiles, "Well, I'm happy for you. Maybe when E gets better, we can all go out to dinner! It would be so much fun," she turns to Jamie, "Doesn't that sound like fun?!" He nods his head as I chuckle, "That would be fun."
"Hey, I'm going to go check up on E and Charles, do you think you can pack me an overnight bag for the hospital?" I ask Tilly, she nods her head, "Of course, I'll pack your laptop too, is there-" She goes to finish her sentence, but I cut her off, "My laptop's at the academy, so it's not there. I'll see if I can get someone to drop it off. Maybe, Charles, I don't know."
