"Are you really going to make him wear the bracelet?" Said Chao-Xing, watching me intensely, her big eyes full of wonder as she stared at the liquid from inside the jewelry.

"What else is there to do?" spoke Jiang Fei in my stead, "We're ought to try something."

"And we're supposed to find the key to his manuscripts this way? That's an odd way of finding something. There will be consequences," Li Hua touched the lid, dusting it off before blowing it off her finger.

"This is just the beginning," I said, "prepare for a fight."

Li Hua walked closer to Mei Yang and leaned onto the wall, seeing how I slowly lifted Zi Ren's hand. I could feel the cold skin even through the napkin I took out of my sleeve as I put the shining bracelet around it and secured it, just to let it down again with a soft thud.
Zi Ren's gray hairs were a sign of his mature age, his body small enough to let me know that he didn't train much, if at all. He even had the face of a doctor; wise. His closed eyes made it seem as if he wasn't actually dead, but sleeping, even though his rest was nothing than death being shy.

I started, waiting for something to happen.
The dark, cold room that we were in was nothing if not ominous, the dust shifting with very step we took and every move we made. It was already a scene out of a horror story.

"Who closed the door?" Said one of the disciples in obvious distress, the door closing with a loud noise.

"Don't panic yet," Wang Yu walked towards it, trying to push it open, "it's obviously not going to open any time soon."

"Great," I said, sarcastically.

For some unknown reason, my patience for mistery was gone. Seeing the body before me turned to dust as the sealing talisman on his forehead burned felt like nothing sort of special.
I automatically started looking for a change inside the coffin.
Right where his chest had been, a shiny key lay among the ashes.

"Is there a way out? Is there anything behind the shelf?" Asked one of the disciples, breaking the silence.

"How about you guys check it out? I'll try to open the door," Jiang Fei joined me as I instructed the kids, Li Hua joining us at the door.

The key didn't even fit, whatsoever.
We tried forcing it down, but it didn't even move. The door was solid and not going to budge.

"Step back," I said, taking Yuchen out.

Li Hua and Jiang Fei copied my moves regardless of what I said, all three of us cutting down the air and sending waves towards the door.
Who knew what kind of sacred door that might have been? If we weren't careful, the strikes might have been redirect towards us in no time.

Everyone watched as the door feel onto the ground.
Just then, Mei Yang pushed the shelf, leaving an opening into the wall that was blocked by another door.
The key must have been made for it, but I had no time to check.
Around thirty evil spirits came out from the ground and engaged, trying to keep us away from the entrance.
Truth be told, they were really fast.
Mei Yang stood on the side and threw different types of talismans at them, in perfect sync Li Hua, everyone else using their swords.
A cursed bow would have been something fit for someone like your sister, perhaps. A strong one was hard to find, but maybe we could have made one someday.
There was no time to get lost in thought.
One of the ghosts came my way and I jumped off the ground, slashing in half with my sword.
One of the disciples stood by my side and tried cooperating with me as Jiang Fei protected the door with the others.
Chao-Xing came towards us, ready to put another ghost down.

I had moved with the wind and danced with my blade, took down one of the ghosts overpowering Yi Lian and sent another wave in the opposite direction, as the ghosts multiplied.
They were growing out of the dead ones, rising onto the soil.
