"At ten o'clock last night, this man, Cory Valance boarded a bus from Phoenix to LA, he had a partner with him, we have no identification on that man but we do know that they're part of a fringe nationalist group that believes that Los Angeles stands for everything that is wrong in America," Jessica spoke from the front of the room, Doctor Morgan, Sergeant Grey and Dolly stood to the side of her, their faces grim.

"The two men arrived here at five this morning, we believe Corey's partner strangled him in the bus station right after." Grey gave his input.

"Corey got cold feet?" Tim spoke up, Dolly's eyes wandering over to her husband, his eyes catching her in disbelief that she was there.

"It seems likely, yes," Jessica replied, "Especially since they came here with this deadly virus."

"That explains the Silkwood shower we just took," John spoke up.

"That was purely a precaution, there is no evidence that the biological agent has been released," Doctor Morgan reassured him.

"But we do have every reason to believe that there is an attack planned in the near future," Jessica added, the tension in the room thickening exponentially.

"What type of virus are we talking about?" Lucy questioned.

"I'll let Doctor Bradford take the floor for this one," Doctor Morgan answered, knowing that it'd be easier for Dolly to explain it in terms that would be easier to understand as well as the proceedings that the officers would have to take if they encountered the virus.

"It is a weaponised strain of haemorrhagic fever," Dolly spoke for the first time, "You will begin to bleed, not stopping until you are dead and even after the fact."

"The virus will spread through contact with bodily fluids, when infected it will begin to damage the cardiovascular system to the point of failure, but first the symptoms you would feel if you were infected with would be weakness and fatigue, dizziness, high fever, muscle and joint aching, bruising, nausea, confusion and blurry vision, these are similar to the symptoms of typhoid fever or even Malaria but then the bleeding begins." Dolly flicked to another side.

"The incubation period for this strain is significantly short meaning it is hard to be treated quickly leading to a Mortality Rate of 90%." She spoke before John asked a question.

"And even if it's treated quickly?" He asked.

"It is believed that it can drop down to 60%, but the bad news is-" Doctor Morgan informed him before he interrupted again.

"That's not the bad news?"

"No, the bad news is that there's only an experimental vaccine, we're flying it here from Atlanta, but there's only a few hundred doses, nowhere near enough to combat an outbreak." Doctor Morgan informed them all.

"If you are to come into contact with a suspected victim that's been infected with the virus you are to radio into the station immediately where a CDC team will be sent to quarantine the suspected infected individuals immediately, we cannot risk an outbreak, even dead bodies can still be contaminated, so if you are unable to tell the cause of death from a distance, you are not to approach," Dolly's stern voice radiated through the room, catching a certain
man's eye as he stared at her.

"Obviously the rookie exam will be postponed," Sergeant Grey said, "The Feds are asking us to be their boots on the ground while they set up a command centre here, the first order of business is to ID Corey's partner slash killer, so you will conduct interviews with other passengers on the bus."

"Do we think Corey's killer is operating alone?" Talia asked from next to Tim.

"No, we think there's one more, a local who picked him up from the bus station," Jessica answered the question.
