Anya Forger stretched her arms over her head, exhaling a sigh of relief as she finally straightened up from her desk. The tension in her muscles eased momentarily, the soft glow of her laptop screen casting a comforting ambiance around her.

A cheerful "Ding!" interrupted her reverie, signaling a message from her online friend, Kokei. "Hey Sakura, just finished my homework. What's up?" Anya grinned at the screen, her fingers dancing eagerly as she replied in kind.

"Anya! Dinner is ready," Loid's voice echoed from the kitchen, breaking the spell of her online conversation. With a smile, she eagerly made her way to the well-lit dining area, where a delicious spread awaited her on the dark oak table. The aroma of her father's cooking filled the air, stirring her appetite as she settled into her seat, ready to savor another Loid Forger special.

Meanwhile, Anya's mother, Yor, sought relief from the scorching sun outside, wiping her forehead with a handkerchief as she returned indoors. "My, it's very hot out there," she remarked, relishing the cool air conditioning. Soon, the family gathered around the dinner table, appreciating the comfort of home-cooked meals.

"Ah~ amazing as always, Loid," Anya complimented her father's culinary skills between mouthfuls, her enthusiasm undiminished despite Loid's gentle reminder not to talk with her mouth full.

Later, as Anya settled into her room for the night, she saw Kokei's reply awaiting her. Grinning at the screen, she exchanged a few more messages before acknowledging the impending curfew. "Okay Sakura, Dorm master is making us go to bed. Talk tomorrow," Kokei wrote.

"Talk tomorrow, Kokei," Anya replied, setting her phone to charge on the side table. Glancing at her desk cluttered with textbooks, she made a mental note to tidy up before turning in for the night.
