I watched the havoc being unleashed onto the kingdom through Aqua's point of view. I was worried for Scar, but I knew that he would be alright. The guards that followed Poseidon and his family had swarmed around them with Aqua in front of them.
Once we entered the kingdom, I saw buildings nearly destroyed, and adult mers fighting against the dark people. It seemed that they were winning. Thankfully, I didn't see any children, so they must be in a safe place. I then spotted a dragon flying along the horizon. I instantly knew who it was.
Aqua's POV
I roared out as I swam straight to the black dragon. We clashed with our claws piercing each other. I knew better than to bite him, knowing that he couldn't bite me back.
*Hiss*
I watched as he opened his mouth, releasing a dark smoke, as something suddenly hit him in the jaw. I looked over to my right to see Kano accompanied by a couple of guards firing water cannonballs at him. I then looked to my left to see Kai and other guards also firing cannons.
'Aqua, try and attack him while he is distracted!' Aura suggested. I nodded my head before swimming backwards to prepare for my attack.
I opened my mouth, sending out my water breath. As I unleashed the water, the dark dragon ducked, dodging the attack, frustrated.
'It seems I've created enough annoyance for now, so I'll be leaving. But don't be fooled. I will be back. And next time you won't be so lucky.' The dark dragon growled, before poofing out of existence. I looked over to see Kai and Kano had retreated with the rest of the guards.
'Are you ready to go back, Aura?' I asked. 'Yes, I am ready to go back.' She answered. 'Alright.'
Aura's POV
I returned to my mermaid form before heading over to Kai and Kano. "Are you injured at all Aura?" Kano asked. "No injuries that I'm aware of," I looked around, scanning for Poseidon. "Where did Poseidon go?" I asked them.
"He went to go help Ace and Scar, and bring them back. He wanted to be around, but we assured him that we could handle it." Kai said. "Although, I doubt that we'll be able to stay and help with clean up. The meeting has become rather urgent. Sooo.. either everyone is going, or one of us is staying. Poseidon might need to stay, but he won't miss it. He will water hologram during the meeting."
"Aura!"
I turned around to see Scar's arms opened to hug me. "Are you alright?" He asked as he slowly let go of me. Scanning me for any injuries. "Yes, I'm fine."
"As glad as I am to see you two reunite, I'm afraid the meeting has turned into a priority. I will have to stay here to ensure peace. Ace, I need you to lead them to the Light Kingdom. You will take my place. I will be in the meeting, just not in person." Poseidon told us, with his hands behind his back. "If you need land clothes, go ahead and get some now. Aura and Scar, I will have your personal servant help you. If you would like weapons as well, just ask them and they will help you."
Everyone nodded before heading towards the palace. The palace was in better condition than the town was. When Scar and I got to our room, Bruce and Clarissa were standing by our door. "We got your bags ready, would you like to add some weapons?" Clarissa asked.
"I would." I said. I looked over to Scar to see he was nodding his head. "Alright. Please follow me this way. Bruce has both of your bags." I nodded to Bruce, who then handed us our things, then we followed after Clarissa.
We arrived at what looked like their training room. I spun around to see all sorts of weapons. Clarissa turned to face us. "Miss Aura and Sir Scar, you may grab your weapons."
I found the daggers and held each of them until I came across a pair that had a blue crystal designed like water. I then went over to the bows and crossbows and found a wrist crossbow that matched the daggers. The arrows had the same blue crystal like the arrow head.
I looked over at Scar to see that he picked out a blue whip with a handle fashioned with tiny bits of gold. He also had a dagger with a blue crystal, similar but different from mine.
Clarissa showed us that she had leather gear. "This is where you can sheath your daggers. The crossbow can hide into an arm band as well, while the arrows will appear as if they are beads on the band." I watched as she fastened the leather gear around my waist, above my tail. I then put both my daggers in their sheath, then Clarissa held my wrist out, putting on the crossbow. She showed me where the button is to put it away and bring it back out and how the arrows can pop out with a press of a bead.
I saw that Scar, Ace, Kai, Kano, and Poseidon waiting for us. I approached them, as Scar finished his set up.
"You look ready to go. Good. There will most likely be some trouble on your way to the kingdom. If I don't see you at the meeting, I will send out a search." Poseidon said to us. Scar finished up with his weapons, and we headed to the entrance of the palace, where Poseidon stayed.
"You guys better come back in one piece." He said as we swam away heading out of the palace and out of the kingdom.
