Aura's POV

When I woke up from my nap, I looked at the clock, showing it was around one to two hours since lunch.

I got out of bed looking at a mirror to make sure everything was looking correct, before heading to the door. I opened the door looked around to see if anyone was around. There was a guard down the hallway and a merperson to the right. I went over towards the merperson, before poking on their arm. 

"Oh, hello miss," The merperson said, or rather the mermaid. "Are you looking for someone?" She asked. I nodded my head. "I'm looking for either Poseidon, Kai, Kano, or Ace." I said to the mermaid. 

"I know where Ace and Kai are. They are still in the library." The mermaid said. I nodded my head. 'I think I know where it is...' I thought to myself. 

"Would you like me to follow you to make sure you know where your going?" The mermaid asked me. I thought to myself, 'Maybe I should, just to know where I'm going for sure.' I nodded my head. "Yes please." 

The mermaid nodded her head. I started walking toward the direction I believe the library is. 

~Time Skip~

We finally got to the library doors, I only got a few turns wrong, but otherwise I think I know where I am. There were guards at the door. They opened the door as I was walking through. I turned around to see the mermaid still following me. "I don't need the help anymore, miss." I told the mermaid. "I'm sorry ma'am, I forgot to tell you. I will be your personal maid, but you are able to dismiss me if you want."

I nodded, "You are dismissed miss, before you go, may I have your name?" I asked the mermaid. "My name is Clarissa, ma'am," She said. She bowed before leaving the room, the doors closed behind her. 

The library is two stories, so I know it will be a while before I find them, but I think Ace said there are two main spots that Kai goes to, if I want to find him. I searched the first spot, but didn't see him, when I was heading to his second main spot I saw Scar out of the corner of my eye. I turned around to where he was to see him sitting on the ground with Kai sitting on a pillow. 

As I headed over to them, Kai glanced up. "Hello Aura, I see your awake. Are you already up for the tour around town?" He said as he started getting up. Scar glanced up once he heard my name. "Yes, I am. Where is everyone else?" I asked Kai. Scar started getting up with his book, Kai looked over to Scar before he could put his book up. 

"Scar, we can put our books at an empty bookshelf in the back. People only put them there if they are coming back for it. The librarian won't go for them." He told Scar, "We can go over there now, if you would like to see where the bookshelf is? Also Aura, I believe I know where they are at." 

Kai led Scar and I to the empty bookshelf, where him and Scar put down their books. "Alright, like I said no one should go for those books, and if they did they would ask whose book it is to borrow it." Kai told us. "Now, follow me, we are going to see if they are at a certain place. If they aren't there, I'll have someone help us."

We followed Kai out of the library to another door. Kai knocked on the door once, before waiting. The door opened to show us Kano and Ace were sitting down, while Poseidon is at the door. "Ah, I see your awake, would you like to go for the tour now?" Poseidon asked. I nodded my head. "Alright, Ace and Kano, are you ready?"

They both looked up once they heard their names. "Yes, we are father. Would you like me to tell one of the private guards we are leaving?" Ace asked. 

"Yes, go ahead and tell one of them, if they don't already know." Poseidon told Ace. Ace nodded before swimming out of the room, heading somewhere else. Poseidon looked back over to us. "We will meet Ace at the entrance of the palace. We will me all leave together." Poseidon told us. 

We headed towards the entrance of the palace. Once we got there, we waited for Ace to come to us before we left. As we walked outside the palace walls, a lot of people glanced over before continuing on their way. Some were waving or smiling over at us. 

Kano glanced over right in time for me to ask him a question. "Do you know why they only waved or smiled?" I asked him. He smiled and nodded. "For a very long time we have asked the people to not bow or spend us much attention if you see everyone out or just one person. We want everyone to not get distracted if they have a job, or sometimes we have to do something in the town and we don't want to get crowded. We said as long as your not bringing much attention to us, like crowding or talking right at us for something unimportant, we would be fine. Sometimes if they are talking about something unimportant and we aren't really doing anything out besides strolling around, we are fine with you talking to us. But if it looked like we were doing something we would prefer not to be bothered." He told me. I nodded my head. 

"If they are waving and smiling at us, that's fine. We also want to be around the town a lot to see if anythings going wrong, or not. Often times if we are out, we are just hanging outside the palace." Kano said. "Also we were slowing down while we talked, we should catch back up to the rest of the people." I nodded my head and swam after Kano.

Just realized I didn't do a question for the last chapter, but I think I'm going to hold off on the questions for a bit. I've been trying to pick up more shifts at work, just to get more hours.
