==============
The weekend went by quickly.
Monday had returned, and students were getting ready for this week's first monthly exam.
I got ready for school at 5:30 a.m. as usual. I left the house at around 6:30 and got to the campus at 6:35 because it's only five minutes away by car.
I sighed, "I'm early again," upon realizing that no one was in the classroom.
Yep, 25 minutes early.
Trust me, 25 minutes will turn into a minute in a matter of days, so I'm going to enjoy it while I'm still productive and motivated to get out of bed.
I took my seat and patiently waited for Hanni or Hyein to arrive.
Minutes passed, and my classmates arrived one at a time. Even Danielle and Haerin were already present!
Still, I couldn't see Hanni or Hyein enter the room.
"Where in the world are they?" I muttered and bit my lip, looking down at my watch, which showed that they would be late in only 9 minutes.
Just then, I noticed Hanni panting by the doorway.
When she noticed my worried expression, she mumbled "Here" and raised her hands.
I whispered, "You're late!"
"Nope, I still had 7 minutes left," she clarified, and I rolled my eyes.
"I got up late, so yeah," she shrugged.
"And, oh! Hyein said she's sick so she can't come today"
I frowned.
"Is she okay? How come she hasn't told me this?" I blurted out.
"Well, first, she said she was fine, and second, she told me that about 6:50, so I'm guessing she also sent you a message around that time," Hanni replied, and I nodded.
"Are you sure she's fine?" I inquired again.
"Honestly? I don't think so. But she said she was fine so I'm guessing that she is, hopefully. Let's just visit her later" She said and I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Hopefully," I muttered.
As soon as Hanni calmed down, I sat in Hyein's chair.
Sullyoon was then sitting in Haerin's chair. Out of curiosity, I looked behind us, to Danielle's row, and saw Haerin silently thanking Sullyoon, averting her gaze when she noticed me staring.
I felt my cheeks heat up and looked away as soon as I saw her eyes ascend to mine.
It appears they are changing seats for the day.
Haerin and Danielle kept talking behind me, something about Danielle not being able to take the exam for all subjects this month due to an unforeseen circumstance.
So, does this mean Haerin will be alone starting Wednesday?
By the way, for context, we have exams every month. Three days per month, specifically Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Anyway, I returned my complete focus to Hanni, occupying myself from the brunette behind me.
Hanni and I talked about random topics to keep ourselves entertained while letting time pass.
However, when our first subject teacher entered, I returned to my seat and smiled at Sullyoon.
"So, is that your chair for the day?" I asked, wishing her a good morning.

FanfictionYeah, Minji's definitely convinced she's straight, even so when she is clearly head over heels for Haerin, a classmate and a friend who's too damn dangerous for her and her poor heart (she def ain't straight).
