Encountered something strange

The next morning I woke up, I felt like I had a good sleep after ages.
I go freshen up and went downstairs.
"Oh you are awake. Should I make you breakfast?"
I shake my head.
"Appericate your offer but I'll make it myself."
She nods and smiles.
She leaves and my enthusiasm, vibing mode started. I turned on some music and started to make scrambled eggs.
I was cutting the onions and dancing with the rhythm of song until he turned off.
I look back.
"Why are you being so loud in the morning? There are actual people living here." He says to me.
I don't wanna ruin my morning by fighting with him.
"You're such a buzz killer." I mummer softly.
He looks at me and opens the fridge to drink water .
I peek at him .
"Do you want something from the fridge that you keep looking at?"

"No, I was hoping if you would like some scrambled eggs?"

I can't believe I offered him that.
"Sure..
He sat in the kitchen while
I pour down the mixture into the pan and flip over the omelette.
I garnish it with salt and pepper and put the two plates . He was observing it.
And then pass over the two plates to him.
I put the dirty dishes away and came to sit opposite with him.
"Thank you." he says in sincere voice.
"Try it. Let me know if you like it."
"Are you trying to kill me Eli?
I got confused.
"By letting me try it first?"
I scoff in anger.
"Don't eat it then, I'll eat it myself."
I try to take away his plate.
"No, it's my food."
"Give it to me..."
I try to grab it while he kept smiling but i end up losing balance. AGAIN.
I fall on to him and I could feel his breath across my cheeks.
I could feel the tension between us!!
I suddenly get up.
"You can eat it."
I try to take a bite of my food to avoid the awkwardness.
He smirks.
He takes a bite.
"What did you add? It tastes delicious."
I give him a proud look.
"A secret formula." I whisper to him with a hand.
"Impressive."
He wipes away his mouth.
"Anyways, I have to go somewhere today. So you'll be all alone here."

"Won't the maid be here?" I ask him.

"No she has some work. She'll come tommorow early in the morning."
I nod my head.
"Will you be fine?" He asked me.
"Ofcourse I will be. Do you think I'm a child or something?"
He nods and leaves taking a sip from the juice.
Half day went by . In the evening he left without saying anything.
I watched television for a while then got bored. I ordered myself some food.
Then I thought to give myself a tour of the house till my order comes.
I looked at different rooms with glistening chandeliers and luxurious furniture.
I went upstairs and went to his room.
His room was quite elegant . There were work papers all over the table. Quite in an organized way. While looking at that my ring fell down to the floor.
"Tch.."
I bent down to pick it up. And to my suprise I found something strange. My hand started trembling.
"What - why does he have that-
I drop it quickly as I heard the thunder . It started raining.
I fastly go downstairs but suddenly power cut off.
The voices. I hear them again.
I feel like someone is calling me. I try to look around but it's just my own shadow.
-Heart Pounding-
I scream for help.
"Help! Somebody help me. Somebody freaking help me!!"
I take a step but I fell down. I could feel heavy footsteps behind me.
"You really think you won?" I look back but there's no one.
Multiple voices around me.
"You might think you won , but I am still here, right here. With you."
I feel heavy around my throat.
"Go away!! " I scream.
She laughs.
"You think it was a right decision to run away Casey? You'll be back by your own. I'll haunt you EVERY. SINGLE . DAY."
Suddenly my vision go blurry.

"Did the power go off?" I look around.
There was a delivery man outside.
"Enzo, go turn on the breaker while I go see if Eloise is alright. And Fabio pay the delivery man ."
They nod.
I come inside and found Eloise lying on the floor.
"Eloise?" I call her.
"LEAVE ME ALONE LAUREN!!" She screams .
I fastly go to her.
"Eloise, what happened?" She tries to breathe.
She immediately got tears in her eyes.
I try to comfort her.
"You're okay. You're safe."
Enzo turned on the breaker .
It was bright again.

Fatigue crawled over me and I fainted.
When I woke up , I found myself lying on the bed. I open my eyes slowly and look around.
This wasn't my bedroom.
Few seconds later, he is leaning to the side of the door with crossed arms.
"You better rest, you fainted."
I look away.
"Okay, we're playing the ignoring game now?" I stare at him suddenly.
"Definitely." He teases .
"Real fun. How about you tell me who you really are?"
Suddenly he is tensed and takes a deep breath.
"I'm not sure what you meant by that."
"Clearly." I mock him.
He smirks.

"Okay. Did you found anything?"

Ofcourse. He is excited because I might ruin his cover of exposing his little secret of his gun . God knows what kind of other things is he hiding.
No offense but I need explaination. Otherwise I can't live with fear.
I won't risk that again.
I take in a deep breath.
"Why do you have a gun?"
He laughs.
"Eloise, I think anesthesia did the effect on your bod-
"Don't fucking play with me. Tell me immediately why you have a gun? If you don't -
"IF I DON'T?" His voice deepened.
"I'll file a complaint."
He chuckled.
"Oh you think I'm joking."
He laughs. That man. That's it.
I try to get up and he watches me. I walk over him to get the phone.
"What are you doing Eloise?"
"Calling a police."
"Eloise, you need rest. Get off the phone and lay down for a while."

The police picked up the phone.
"Hey , is this police department? Yes I would like to file a complaint against -

"Hey , what do you think you're doing?". I shout.
"I won't say it again. Lay down."
"I'm not your puppet. And give me the phone."
I try to catch it but he grabs me and leans me over to the wall leaving inches between us.
I gasp.
"When I tell you to stay out of my way, that means stay out of my way. Is that clear?"
I don't give him a reply.
"And about the gun, it's for self-defense. I haven't triggered the gun. Not till now."
Self defense. Right..
"Having a gun is the only way I feel safe."
He backs up . He sighs.
"Come downstairs to eat the breakfast." He's about to leave but turns back.
"I'm not hungry."
"It wasn't a request. You don't wanna faint again baby girl?" He reached out and gently tucked my hair behind my ear.
His fingers brushing against my cheeks.
"I'll come down." I stutter.
"Good. I'm waiting."
I came downstairs after a while.
They're were three boys dressed up in suit at the table. I stopped there immediately.
They give Scarlet an eye to me.
"You can come Eloise. They're sort of my brothers."
I don't care.
I come sit at the table uncomfortably.
They tried to make a small talk with me to put me at ease.
I got to know their names.
Enzo, Fabio and Dante.
"Do you have work today?" I ask him.
"No, today I'll be taking you outside."
I raise my eyebrows.
"For?"
"To get you some clothes and other necessaries."

"It's okay . You don't have to. And I won't be staying here for long."

"Your brother gave me the responsibility. Don't make me repeat my words again and again. If you want to run away, ask your brother then run away anywhere you want. I can't take the risk of some guy lurking at you on the streets."
I am speechless.
After the breakfast, I got dressed up and then sat in the car . His brothers also sat in the backseat.
He drove the car.
His brothers made me try different dishes and clothes.
We wandered alot .
"Did you enjoy Eloise?" Fabio asks me.
I avoided Scarlet the whole time.
"Yes I did. Thanks to you."
Around night, we came home.
Around midnight,
I went to kitchen to drink water. He was behind me.
"Why are you acting so weird around me?"
I gasp.
"You scared me."
He comes towards me.
"I'm not being weird."
He crosses his arms and raises an eyebrow.
"I'm just adjusting to the new environment."
"Really?" His voice deepened.
He closed the distance between us . Both of our eyes locked with each other in a silent conversation.
I could feel the warmth of his body against mine.
"You're so innocent Eloise." He scrubs his hand over my cheeks. He looks at my lip and then locks my eyes with him.
He's playing with fire. My heart pounding fast and fast.
I closed my eyes.
I felt his breath over my lips.
