Epilogue

Pacing her room, the Princess wonders if now is the right time. Plans were made to hold her Coronation next Saturday as this Sunday she will turn twenty-one. She knows with the small fights and skirmishes caused by that traitor and his rebels her people need a distraction, but deep down this nagging feeling tells her something bad is going to happen.

The door to her room opens causing the Princess to jump in fright. Her boyfriend, realizing he startled her, takes quick strides and pulls her into his arms.

"Are you okay Alli?" He asks, pressing a soft kiss on her cheek.

"I am worried about next week. The Princess admits, wrapping her arms around him and pressing her body as close to his as possible.

"Next week you will be crowned Queen."

"And the Rebellion could be in full swing by then." She cuts in, worry etched into her voice. The man sighs, pulling away from her slightly to look into those violet eyes that melts his heart, giving her a reassuring smile.

"Nothing will go wrong. Everyone is ready for what Juden has planned. We will win." He states, his voice holding the reassurance and conviction she needs.

Feeling a bit better, she takes his hand and leads him to their bed. What she needs right now is a moment to forget, to feel like a normal woman in love.

Sitting at his desk, eyes on his monitor, the man in the shadows smiles. Her Coronation is only a week away. It is the perfect place to set his plan into motion. If he plays his cards right, his men might be able to kill that thorn in his side. With a grin, he turns to look at his son, the man he was always disappointed in proving to be an asset he never thought possible.

"Did they confirm that they will be attending?" He asks his son, getting a firm nod.

"Yes. If he does what is told, then I promised to marry his daughter and make her my Princess Consort when the time is right." His son answers, a smirk on his face. The man's grin grows and soon he lets out an amused laugh.

He has seven days to wait patiently. When Allisara walks into that room to take a crown that should rightfully be his, the war will begin.
