Adventure Log Of A New World #2: Magic hurts, both casting it and getting hit by it hurts.

After a quick lesson on spell casting after Liam failed to cast anything he was finally able to cast the easiest spell in the world, a wind spell called Areo-Slash.

With his new spell acquired he and Lilly were casting spells back and forth, Lilly challenged him to break through a couple of her shields using his new wind magic, which proved to be extremely difficult and time-consuming.

"AREO-SLASH." Liam charged energy in his hand before forming it into the only spell that he currently knew.

"He's doing pretty well for a new caster..." Lilly thought to herself before readying the rest of her energy into a spike shield.

The grass around her began to swirl and grow into a large shield with spikes made from bark and thorns.

"I REFUSE TO LOSE TO YOU AGAIN," Liam said charging all his unused energy into his spell causing the wind around him to pick up blowing his light blue hair with his single streak of dark blue hair around wide.

My arms hurt like hell, the power coursing through them felt like millions of pins and needles jabbing into every single nerve.

"I'm sorry about this... Nature Sentience." Lilly said before holding one hand out and channeling her magic into it.

Before Lilly's spell could finish forming Liam made a slashing motion with his hand which caused the wind around him to condense into a singular slash that cut right through Lilly's shield.

Lilly stood there for a second the magic she was charging slowly stopping, she stood with a wide-eyed stare in complete dismay about Liam breaking her shield.

I did it. I DID IT.

"Good job Liam..." Lilly said clenching a fist causing all the changes that she made to the battlefield to disappear.

"Are you okay Lilly?" Liam. Asked while walking towards her.

"Yeah, just a little surprised that you managed to learn how to increase your spell power without another lesson," Lilly said smiling at him, happy that he managed to learn so easily.

"Thank you for everything Lilly," Liam said hugging her slightly to show his appreciation.

"You're strong Liam, and you have a pretty good affinity for wind magic," Lilly said almost stunned that Liam hugged her.

"You're much stronger than me Lilly, I just got lucky," Liam replied noticing that Lilly was a little upset about losing.

"No no, your a very talented spell caster... And you've already reached a point of power that took me years." Lily said letting go of Liam and tapping him on the forehead.

Note to self, Lilly is insecure about her abilities.

"Don't look at it like that, you taught me about how different spells reacted with each other. Offensive Wind spells naturally gave the upper hand against Defensive Nature spells." Liam said trying to steer the conversation in a better direction.

Lilly began to laugh slightly at Liam's words.

"You a smart kid Liam," Lilly replied with a smile.

"I'm 18 Lilly," Liam said reciprocating the smile.

To be honest I don't remember how old I am, I just remember that I'm over 16 but younger than 19.

"Still younger than me and thought," Lilly spoke with a slight laugh.

After a little bit of talking Lilly and I decided to head back to the village and take some time away from using spells to just enjoy each other's company.
