It's been several months since the incident, and yet I'm stuck with the memories of what Lilly said. "Please... Don't stop smiling" This Is all I've been thinking about for the last couple of months, along with the whole. "Spirit of the wind" which I still don't understand no matter how much I think about it.
After about a week of wandering around the Nevergard Forest, I somehow managed to stumble into Beastland, a known creative name. After I arrived there I looked for someone to tell me about what happened in Grovefeild, but to no avail everyone either ignored me or told me I was crazy.
So instead of wasting my time trying to inform anyone I found myself a place to and found some books about magic, specifically this "Pure" magic that I have. I was able to find one book about spirits and magic and a couple about simple to intermediate wind spells.
I wasn't able to pick up a huge amount of spells simply from reading though, I hate to admit it and I double hate to this about it... Lilly's way of teaching was the best. But hey I can use more than just "Areo-Blast" and a spell I call "Summon Gale" The name is a work in progress.
As for my research on "Pure" magic, I was able to find that anyone who innately wields is almost always guaranteed to have a naturally high understanding of Elemental Enlightenment, for example, my offensive wind magic is much higher than most beginners with the same amount of experience.
Lastly, my quest to figure out what spirits are... All my book said was that spirits are creatures recognized by a god from above. That explanation is confusing though so let me explain it in the simplest terms I can think of, spirits are humans that have an ambition that is so strong that someone lends them a very small amount of power, and as that ambition grows so does the power.
While researching I also found out about catalysts and how they affect magic. Firstly, catalysts are items that have been enchanted by spell casters to improve their Elemental Enlightenment. Secondly, as a spirit, it seems that my body itself is much like a catalyst that enhances my offensive wind magic.
"Maybe writing all of this in a book will eventually grant it the enchantment needed to be a catalyst," Liam said setting his pen down in a jar of ink and holding the book up to the torch that lit his room.
Liam set it down before signing his name onto the cover of the book.
Liam...
He signed before sighing and finishing his signature.
Liam of the wind.
"God I hate that name... But it's catchy." Liam said with a sigh as he set down his book and fell into the bed he rented out.
It wasn't anything like his bed from the elf village. His bed there was soft and warm, this bed was cold, hard, and depressing.
"I'll see you again Lilly... One day... I know I will." Liam mumbled as he succumbed to the sleep was slowly creeping up on him.
To be continued...
