Spirit Bond

(Flashback)

A young girl and young boy with similar a colored hair sat on a bench sharing a box of food between each other, the young lady look extremely healthy and the young body looked like he was sick.

"Lord Rui, Lady Azumi it's time to pray." A older voice called out to the children.

"Rui why do we pray?" A young Azumi asked.

"We pray to show appreciation to a the god that protects our city and gives us fresh water." Rui replied.

Why no other questions Azumi ran off to the man in a white robe with a water drop on the chest and back, Rui walk a different wya but on the same general direction.

About an hour later Azumi ran back out and to the bench and found a very more sickly looking Rui coughing uncontrollably.

"Rui- are you okay?" She asked as she quickly ran to him and put her hand on his back and starting hitting him, thinking that he was choking.

"Yeah Cough, I'm fine." He said as he sat up and looked over to the cloaked man with tears in his eyes.

(End of flashback)

Liams magic surrounded them making a small area where time for them moved slower than outside. Angelic feather-like shapes dances around them as they stared at each other.

"Sorry... I got a little carried away..." Liam said as he glanced around the almost endless void of white swirly magic.

"Who... are you?" Azumi muttered.

"Hm?" Liam turned to azumi and looked at her.

She seemed mad and upset at the same time, things weren't adding up. She called him her ally but she still seemed mad.

"Who are you?" She repeated looking down at the ground and clenching her first.

"Im Liam." He replied while locking his eyes onto her.

"Not your name... Who the hell are you?" Azumi yelled back.

"I'm..." Liam started to talk but stopped mid sentence.

"Liam... Who the hell are you!?" Azumi yelled again.

"I'm... just a guy who has lost everyone and everything that has meant anything to me..." Liam said while taking a step towards Azumi.

"What about the succubus that came with you?" Azumi looked at Liam and let down her guard slightly.

"She appearrd in my life after I lost everyone else." Liam lifted his hand up and placed it one the top of Azumi's head.

"I..." Azumi went a little red from his hand on her head.

"I can tell that you've lost people too, and I can also tell that you don't trust me..." Laim said before she could finish her sentence.

Usually Liam can't tell what someone is feeling and it totally incompetent when it comes to women, but azumi was different, he could understand her completely.

"I've worked so... So... So. Damn hard to make it were I am now Liam..."

"I can tell..."

"I don't trust you... Because I don't want to be overshadowed once again..."

"I won't overshadow you, if anything you're the one overshadowing me... Your much stronger, and a lot more talented."

"But you hit me..."

"And?"

"No one has ever hit through my spirit body."

"That doesn't mean your useless."

"Yes it does, all I have is the my spirit abilities and the weapons aquadias grand me with."

"Then embrace that that's all you have, and make it more powerful and versatile."

"Is that what's your doing?"

"Not really, I haven't really sat down and focused ofn learning magic that much."

"See when someone with barely any knowledge beat me." Azumi said as she put her forehead in liams shoulder and began to cry.

"I never caught your name..."

"It's Azumi, princess of Aquadias and the water spirit."

"Is it okay if I call you Azu?"

"I guess."

"Well Azu... You aren't the different from Me we've both lost someone close to us, we are both spirits, and we both don't understand as much as We would like to."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying we should train with each other and get stronger, that is why Ne-Ne brought me here after all..."

"I guess you're right, we are both spirits after all,"

"We need to stick together."

"Stick together?"

"Train together, travel together, work together in a guild." Liam said while beginning to look around again.

This place must be a manifestation of pure energy, it's giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling while just standing here... It must have something to do with my pure magic.

Liam blinked and before he knew it he was back at the indoor areana they were located before the odd magic surrounded them.

"Liam?" Ne-ne asked while shaking liam.

"I..." Liam responded quietly, his thoughts swirling from the sudden switch between scenery.

Azumi stood in front if Liam unfazed by the change, she fiddled with her thumbs for a second before speaking.

"We had a magic link, he's probably just adjusting to the side affects of switching between worlds." Azumi explained as she clapped her hands together causing all the water in the room from their battle to vanish immediately.

"Yeah... About that, Me and Azumi had a conversation in the..." Liam's sentence wandered off as he looked for words to use.

"We talk about you and I joining him and Ariya permentally." Azumi said finishing liams sentence for him.

"Hm... I would have to think about it..." Ne-Ne said while looking at the two.

"Ne-Ne we have some bit of history and-" Liam said before being cut off.

"We do not have history, you and Lilly have history." Ne-Ne explained in a upset tone.

"I mean yeah but-" Liam tried to interject before getting shut down again.

"Enough, I don't wanna talk about it." Ne-Ne cut him off again shutting him Down completely.
