Azumi rushed towards Liam, her prayer beads flowing like water as she ran towards him.
I guess I can finally test my strength against someone who's much like myself.
As Azumi ran towards him she faded into mist before appearing behind faster than he could process.
Liam quickly turned around feeling her presence behind him
Liam's eyes flickered to his spirit eyes, he noticed a glowing aura coming from Azumi.
"Summon G-" Liam said beginning to channel his energy before Azumi's elbow was jabbed into his stomach with a notable amount of force.
"For a spirit, you're pretty weak..." Azumi said while her prayer beads began to grow like running water.
Her beads are made of water and she's the water spirit, meaning she could make them grow as big as she wants. While they grew she moved to make some distance between the two.
"I may be weak... But I'm smart." Liam said as he stood up straight and tried to steady his breathing after being hit on the stomach.
"Intelligence and strength are one thing... But the worship of a god is above both." Azumi said as she put her hands together in a prayer-like position, her prayer beads flowing around her like a river.
"A God? Are you telling me that the only way to become stronger is to devote my life to a religion?" Liam asked as his eyes changed into his spirit eyes.
"Tapping into the gift left by Aquadias before he died allows his followers to wield the weapons he once used, those being The Flowing Beads, The Tsunami Fan, and The Rain Arrow," Azumi explained as the beads around her shifted into a bow and arrow.
"Thanks for explaining your abilities to me," Liam said as he examined the bow made of water that Azumi held.
"Great god of water, bless this bow and turn it into the Almighty weapon you once used," Azumi called out as she drew the bow back.
Liam took a defensive position and created a wall of thick fog that he believed only he could see through.
"Areo-" Liam began to say as he charged up an Areo-Blast so that he could stop the arrow.
The arrow sped up and blew right through the fog shield dispersing it as it rushed toward Liam's hand leaving a very thin stream of water connecting it to the bow.
Is this the power of a god or just a spirit?
Liam held his hand out as he continued to channel magic into his hand.
The arrow picked up speed one more time before hitting Liam's hand and and halting his magic immediately, it didn't stop there though, the arrow continued until it pierced through his hand completely and hit the wall behind him.
What the hell?
Liam looked at his hand and noticed the hole that went through it completely, along with the thin stream that slowly disappeared before heavy rain began to fall within the room where nobody was standing before it quickly ended.
This is a power I have never encountered before... Expect that cloaked creature...
"That's enough proof, I'll consider you my ally for now, " Azumi said as she walked towards Liam and placed her hands around the one with the hole in it.
"How did you..." Liam asked as he winced from his hand beginning to touch.
"It's the power of my god," she replied while channeling magic through his hand.
