It was a crisp, sunny weekend morning, and Mia found herself enjoying brunch at Francis, a quaint café nestled in the heart of the city. Seated across from her was her best friend Mandy, their laughter filling the air as they caught up on each other's lives.

Mia sat with Mandy, enjoying their brunch at Francis, she couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Glancing around the café, she caught sight of Sebastian seated at a nearby table with a friend. A jolt of nervousness shot through her as their eyes briefly met, and Mia quickly averted her gaze, attempting to hide behind her menu.

Sebastian seemed to notice Mia's attempt to conceal herself, but he didn't make any move to approach her. Instead, he continued his conversation with his friend, his expression unreadable. Mia breathed a sigh of relief, grateful that he hadn't come over to their table.

Throughout the remainder of their meal, Mia couldn't shake the feeling of Sebastian's eyes on her. She tried to focus on her conversation with Mandy, but her thoughts kept drifting back to him.

As they finished their brunch and prepared to leave the café, Mia couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that Sebastian hadn't approached her. She exchanged a quick glance with Mandy, silently thanking her for the distraction, before they made their way out of the café and onto the bustling city streets.

As Mia stood outside the café, buzzing from the mimosas she had indulged in during brunch, she waited for Mandy to go bring the car around. The warmth of the sun on her skin felt comforting, but her head felt a little light from the effects of the alcohol.

As she leaned against the storefront, trying to steady herself, Mia noticed Sebastian stepping out of the café, waving goodbye to his friend. Her heart skipped a beat as their eyes met, and she quickly looked away, feeling a flush of embarrassment spread across her cheeks.

To her surprise, Sebastian began to walk towards her, his confident stride making her heart race even faster. Mia tried to compose herself, but the alcohol had left her feeling a little lightheaded, and she couldn't shake the nervous flutter in her stomach.

"Hey there," Sebastian greeted her with a warm smile as he approached, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Fancy seeing you here."

Mia returned his smile, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension at his unexpected presence. "Hi, Sebastian," she replied, her words slightly slurred from the effects of the alcohol. "What brings you out here?"

Sebastian chuckled softly, his gaze lingering on her as if he could sense her buzzed state. "Just enjoying the sunshine," he replied casually, though there was a hint of mischief in his tone. "And what about you? Waiting for someone?"

Mia nodded, trying to maintain her composure as she gestured towards the street. "Yeah, just waiting for my friend to bring the car around," she explained, hoping he wouldn't notice her slightly unsteady demeanor.

Sebastian's smile widened, and Mia couldn't help but feel a surge of warmth at the sight of it.
