How much can someone's life change, just because of one accident. Madeline knew all to well the effects of doing something that you didn't mean to do. But still paying the price. This price though was one she couldn't even understand.

Otis was dead. Someone she had grown so close too just gone because of one mistake he had made. How could one mistake cost someone their life. That's all Madeline could wonder as everyone in the Greene family plus the Asian boy who's she learned to be named Glenn. And the Shane guy who Otis gave his life for.

Not yet did any of them say a word, all of them mourning in such a different way. Everyone seemed to think that's just life, or now he's with God. But Madeline wasn't. She was angry. She was angry that he was stupid enough to give his life for Shane without even knowing the guy. In a way it made her indifferent to Shane, she knew it wasn't right.

Think about him saving that young boy made it better, only sightly though. Because every time she tired to think about that, her head quickly would turn to Shane. Giving the nastiest look she could... which wasn't much. But enough to make him get the point.

And yet, the second she gave him the look. His head went down, but not out of shame. Like he had been hiding something, that alone didn't sit well with Madeline.

Madeline's feet walked across the hard wood floors, after the long walk down the stairs. Her brown hair was soaking wet from her shower. The shower where she thought about all of that. The Shane thing on her mind more than ever. She needed to talk about it, to anyone who would listen. But she also feared what would happen if she did.

"Hey Maggie?" Madeline's voice echoed, as her foot steps became heavier. For she was fast walking to the kitchen, she knew Maggie's chore right now was getting the eggs, freshly made by their chickens. She had to catch her before she went outside to finish the task.

"Oh Mads! I've been meaning to ask you how are you feeling with everyone here?" The most countries accent could be heard. The two sister both now standing in the kitchen. Madeline bite the inside of her cheek, staring at her sister. Who couldn't even be bothered to look at Madeline. To busy looking at all the eggs, picking out the bad ones. Seeing how many they needed from the chickens today.

A couple days ago, the rest of ricks group showed up. All of them now staying outside on the front yard. Tents, upon tents, with a camper. The view wasn't pretty, and some of the people... didn't seem the best.

It wasn't like some weren't good, Glenn, T-Dog, Dale, And Rick were alright in her book. She didn't know enough about them though to say she thought they were good people. Some she hadn't even talked too, she only knew names, names that ever so often was thrown into a conversation. Such as Carol and Daryl, people she never met. But she knew of them.
