"What's going on?" Madeline asked as she entered that house, after departing from Daryl. His words giving her a lot to think about, but unfortunately she knew she would never have the time. This world didn't give you time. She knew that even more when Maggie seemed to be frantic.Maggie took a deep breath in, before running towards the girl. Madeline smiled as Maggie's arms wrapped around her, "where have you been?" She asked still hugging the girl. Happy that her sister was safe and sound back at home where she should be.
Madeline wrapped her arms around her sister as well, "I just needed a minute." Madeline whispered to ashamed to speak any louder. She always likes to keep the creak as her secret place, Daryl had already cracked that. But maybe he wasn't so bad to share it with, Madeline thought.
She felt Maggie nod her head, as she pulled away from the hug. Madeline letting go too, letting the girls now look each other in their eyes.
Both eyes held so much heartbreak. Madeline didn't want to be a reminder for Maggie about their daddy being gone. But she was probably already thinking about it, for it hadn't left Madeline's head also. Even though she had hope that he will be okay. She still needed to ask. "Is it true?" Madeline's breathed, "daddy missing?"
Maggie's looked towards her sister with pity, for she knew how much harder it was for Madeline. For the hopeful girl she loved. But sadly Maggie had to nod her head, "yeah." All she could muster up in that moment.
Madeline let out a shaky breath, "he will be okay, Rick and Glenn are going to find him." She believed her own words. Ultimately though, no matter what she said. She knew Maggie didn't. Maggie had lost her hope a long time ago. It's not like she signed up for it to be ripped away. That made Madeline feel so much worse for her sister.
Madeline stared into Maggie's eyes, when her heart dropped even more then it already was. If that could be possible, but Maggie's eyes held so much more. She could tell that something else had happen. "Maggie what happened?" Madeline asked scarcely. She almost didn't want to hear whatever it was about to be. Trying to protect herself from feeling such terrible emotions.
Maggie just shook her head.

"Bethy." Madeline gasped as she finally saw what had Maggie even more upset.
Their baby sister laying still in a bed, no emotions to be seen from her. Which was so unlike their sister, Madeline believed she was almost like her. For she also felt things deeply.
Madeline moved to the bed, sitting on the edge of it as she grabbed her sisters hand. Around her fingers around it, tears building in her eyes as she did.
She felt guilty, she was too busy with her own things that she didn't even think about how her little sister must of be feeling. Nor her older one. She couldn't unwrap herself from her own emotions, she missed the ones of the people she loved the most.
"Daddy's gone." Madeline's eyes jumped from the girl laying on the bed, to the one standing. The one leaned against the door frame, "Bethy hasn't moved." Maggie almost cried.
Madeline shook her head, trying to stop her sister from letting the tears fall. Which she was also trying to do for herself, "No Maggie everything will be fine." She stated trying her best to make this easier on the both of them.
But her words filled Maggie was anger, something they had never done before. For once she was tried of hearing the girl act as if everything will be okay, because clearly nothing was okay right now. "Will you stop!" Maggie confessed.
