30. Chocolate bandit.

Her mind had been a twist since the night before.

Was he truly serious?

Was max really gonna fly the whole way out to the Bahamas just to see her, someone he's claimed over and over again to hate?

Or was he just drunk?

Lita sat in a yellow spaghetti strap summer dress with her wavy hair (thanks to the climate in the Bahamas) in a white flower shaped claw clip.

She was never usually a big eater in the mornings but over the past few days she had been addicted two getting two waffles for breakfast

The first waffle would be covered in powdered sugar, a dash of honey and strawberry's while the second was absolutely drowned in melted chocolate a perfect balance

But she didn't have the stomach to eat them both, not with the anxiety raking her body.

"Are you gonna eat that all?" Interrupted her train of thoughts

Lando.

"What?" She looked over to him confused and placed her fork down. Her face slightly heating up once she realised that all eyes at the table were on her

"I said are you gonna eat that all lolly?" The British driver laughed at the confusion written all over the French women's face

"No..." lita cleared her throat and smiled at the boy who was obviously eying up the rest of the waffle on her plate

"Have away at it" and with that she slide it over to lando who was more than happy to dig into it and by the time he had finished it, his nose had some sugared powder and around his mouth was the evidence of left over chocolate.

When lita went to grab her phone as the Spaniard beside her laughed at his old teammate she saw another text causing a tug in her belly

Dutch devil.

"Are you gonna come up to greet me Lonnie or am I gonna have to hunt for you myself"

Biting down on her lip lita slowly pushed up from here chair and grabbed her bag from the table

Her heart was racing.

Carlos who had been watching her gave a confused expression as she stood up "where you going hermosa?"

"I think I want to hang out in my room for a while before we head down to the beach" it wasn't a complete lie, she had been planning to go back to her room first before everyone ventures back to the beach except this time she'd be collecting a certain Dutchmen on the way

"I can always walk you back if you want?" The Ferrari driver offered hopefully

"I'll be fine" lita laughed "I'll see you later sainz" and with that she walked off.

By the time she rode up the hotel elevator up to the 3rd floor she could already feel a bubble forming in her stomach but not from nerves this time...

As the ding of the elevator rung throughout her ears signalling the doors to open and she walked out into the peaceful hall

Turning around the corner that's when her heart jumped

He was here.

Max was leaning against the wall beside her hotel door, a travel sized suitcase barely reaching just below his knee as he waited for her.

The sound of her white wedges is what caught his attention and she almost felt airy as their eyes connected

The close lita got to him only seemed to make the smirk on his face grow large like an elephant.

Grabbing the key out of her bag for the room, the younger redbull driver opened the door for them both the air between them seemed as thick as a cake

She didn't even have the time to process what had even happened next before she felt her back press against the white hotel door and those all to familiar lips on hers

Max's hands trailed down the silk of her yellow summer dress to her hips as he basked in the taste of the strawberry on her soft lips

The French girls hands slowly trailed up his back and around his neck as she stood on the tips of her heels causing a grunt to elect from his throat

God he'd missed her, More than he'd like to admit...

Pulling away slowly he let his dark blue eyes meet her soft honey ones and he felt a twist in his gut and a warm feeling spread over his chest

"I didn't think you were actually coming" lita gave him a sheepish smile as he rubbed gentle circles on her hips causing her dress to slowly rise up her thighs

"And miss the chance to see you after a week?" Max grinned down at her causing a flush to warm her cheeks

"So you missed me?" Lita slowly mocked causing his to roll his eyes and let out a low chuckle

"Of course I missed you Lonnie" he slowly cupped her cheek "tell anyone I said that and I'll kill you"

Rolling her eyes at the threat and leaning herself into his hand she let out a small sigh "I missed you..."

"Yeah?" His heart slowly skipped a beat as this angel like woken in front of him actually missing him

"Mhm" he leaned down to place another kissing on her lips, savouring the feeling after being deprived for a week before pulling away from her and looking around the hotel room

"What were you doing before I got here?" The Dutchman looked over to her as he planted himself on the soft white sheets of her hotel bed

"Eating breakfast with the others" lita pushed herself off the door and walked over to him

"We're ment to be going to the beach later" he watched her amused "and am I invited Lonnie or Is this for exclusive members?"

"You can come" she grinned "does anyone else know your here yet?"

"Just you" he spoke as his pupils slowly dilated as he took in the sight of her golden like skin "just wanted me and you for a while Lonnie"

"Your so sweet" she through a pout as he glared at her and stood up again

"I am going to get a shower and when I come out I better see you in that cute little bikini of yours" he slowly leaned down and whispered in her ear before kissing her temple and walking off to the en-suite leaving her flustered

She watched the door slowly closed off the bathroom as her cheeks stayed as pink as the strawberries she had ate with the waffles

It felt good having max close to her again...
