By the time Daniel had made it back to his hotel room the clock had struck 7:57
He had spent most of his time after the race going over data with different engineers to try figure out what had went wrong today causing him to end up p14
And of course he had another argument with autumn
Just his luck.
Pulling off his hoodie and flexing his back muscles, the Aussie made his way across the cold wooden floors to prepare the shower
When all of a sudden his phone went off
"Fuck" he grumbled under his breath as he strode back to the bed scrambling to find his phone
'Unknown' flashes crossed the dark screen
Running his tongue over his bottom lip Daniel's calloused thumb swiped swiped right before the cold screen touched his ear
"Hello?" He offered but only in return was he met with heavy breathing
"Who is this?" He felt like one of those dumb characters in a horror movie that always call out who's there? when they hear a noise
About to pull the phone away from his ear he finally heard a voice
"...do you like scary movies?" Came through heavy pants causing Daniel to roll his eyes
"You think you're funny?" Daniel offered back getting the sense it was probably one of his mates
"Yes or no Daniel" offered back in a heavy breath
"Yes I do" the Australian scoffed back "is this the part where you ask me which one?"
he was only met back with more heavy breathing
"This isn't funny mate" Daniel grumbled as he walked over to his suitcase
When he was met with silence he felt irritation over take him before he hung up
Letting out a grumble Daniel ran a hand through his hair before he headed toward the bathroom again before he was interrupted again...
This time by a knock.
Turning around with slight aggression the rb driver flung open the door to be met with no one
Sticking his head out, he turned his head left before he turned it right before back in again and slamming the door
Turning around he heard a slightly creak causing him to pause
Looking around the room and being met with nothing he sighed
"What the hell is going on today" he hushed out as he felt like he was going insane before another knock came on the door
gripping onto the door handle until his knuckle turned white he flung opened the door to find no one yet again.
"What the fuck" he cursed out slowly growing pissed but before he could close the door he heard something behind him
Turning around slowly he felt his heart skip a beat at the sight of a figure dressed in all black standing over at the now open balcony door with what seemed to be wearing
A ghost face mask...
"Who the fuck are you" he furrowed his eye brows, he wasn't sure to inch forward or to back out the door
Deciding to take the easy option and turn back to the door this time he was met with a bigger figure standing in the exact same tire
What the-
Before Daniel had a chance to open his mouth, the ghostface at the door took an inch forward causing his own feet to move his backwards on auto pilot
But the one at the balcony seemed to be inch closer to him aswell
He felt his heart rate pick up and a slight sweat form on his brow as he felt a bit claustrophobia begin to kick in as he was cornered
Taking a turn he slowly moved to back towards the wall giving both the stranger to chance to walk side by side until his back hit the wall
And he let out a deep yell as the smaller one lifted their arm up
Shutting his eyes he waited but all he was met with was a fit off laughter
What?
Peeling open his eyes he watched both of them hunch over in laughter
"What the hell" he snapped as he grew pissed as the sight of lando popped up as the Brit pulled off the mask he was wearing
"Oh my god" he was almost in a fit of tears of laughter, his face red as his body shook "we got you! We got you so bad!"
Staring at him bewildered his eyes slowly moved to the other body beside him as they pulled their mask off
Lita.
"Told you I'd get you" she giggled loudly as she wore a victories grin on her face
"I'm gonna kill you both-"
