Eek... Sorry for the short chapter. Forgive me ;-;
I'll post another chapter... Maybe?•••
[Chapter will be told in Serena's point of view]
Geosenge town was a town surrounded my sinister and mysterious looking stones that were scattered about in the clearings. Psychics that always came here stopped by Cyllage City on the way to Geosenge town. They often stopped by and were rumoured to be able to predict the future.
My nose detected a delicious scent wafting from one of the food stalls near the Pokemon centre. But that wasn't the only thing I had noticed - perhaps I had tasted that food before... And maybe Calem ate some of it too. That'd help his memory loss, right? Maybe it'd help him remember me?
Hypnotised by the scent of food, I absentmindedly walked towards the stand with poke dollars in hand.
"Hello Miss, what would you like to buy today?" The vendor smiled at me.
I pondered for a moment before opening my mouth to speak "Blueberry muffins, please," I pointed my through the glass case and at the blueberry muffins that were still steaming. The vendor slid open the door behind it and asked "How many?"
"Four."
The vendor slipped the muffins into special paper packages before handing them to me. I stood agape when I noticed the prices of the baking.
"One thousand pokedollars. Each muffin costs 250."
I was about to scowl when I realised the 800 pokedollars I brant with me wasn't enough... Talk about money draining instead of buying the baking.
"I'm sorry... I only have 800 with me right now- would a small gold nugget be fine...?" I asked.
"No, I'm sorry. The payment needs to be money; not items. I'll hold onto your muffins now if you'd like to exchange that nugget for pokedollars somewhere," the vendor sighed.
"Sure," I passed the bag to the vendor and went towards the pokemart. I opened the door, grumbling.
•••
These muffins looked absolutely tantalising, maybe it was a bad idea to get here early. They might get cold by the time he gets here. And I might eat them before he even gets here...
"S-Serena...?" Someone whispered behind me "Is that you?"
-Flashback-
"Serena, I know you're there!" I heard footsteps pace around the hallway.
I stifled a laugh as I realised he was going into all the wrong rooms to look for me.
"S-Serena...?" I heard his fingers wrap around the door knob to my room.
Uh oh...
I dived into the messy duvet of mine and hoped he would see me.
"Is that you?" He laughed as I heard the door creak open "Your hair is sticking out!"
I laughed along with him.
-End of Flashback-
I laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" The person asked in a serious tone.
Oh, that's right- he wouldn't remember...
"I just zoned out for a bit there, sorry." I grinned and looked into the bag "Want one...?"
"Uh, sure?" He didn't seem completely sure, but I still passed him one. I grabbed a muffin for myself and bit into it. The flavours exploded and danced in my tastebuds.
Delicious.
"So uh, Serena, would you know about a girl who was best friends with me as a child?" He asked in between bites.
It's me. I was your best friend. Sorry...
"No, I'm sorry, I don't think I do." I watched the lie make it out of my thoughts and into words.
I just want a second chance...
"Oh, okay." He responded.
You'll have to find out for yourself...
"So tell me about yourself," he started.
But this won't hurt you unless you knew.
"Well, people call me Serena..." I began.
You already forgot anyway, so what's the point...?
I just want you to trust me again. That's what matters. And then maybe... I'll tell you...
"I've lived in Vaniville town for my entire life-" I can't stop lying.
