The minute we had sat down I was bombarded with questions from Jessica, I ignored Mike's flirtatious smile and Lauren's glare that always seemed to be aimed at me. It wasn't my fault the boys wanted me, though I had no want for them, nor the fact she was held back in her classes. She should have studied more often but she didn't, she could only blame herself for it. "I heard you were talking to the Cullens, Jasper, Emmett, and Alice to be exact." I rolled my eyes, "Yeah so what?" "So what? They don't talk to anyone and all of a sudden they talk to you?" "Jesus Jessica, it isn't that deep. I had to sit next to them in class and they started talking to me, if you guys actually tried and interact with them like normal human beings they might interact with you, nope you just gossip behind their backs." She looked almost offended but I didn't care, I started eating my lunch.
I looked over at the Cullen table, they were whispering amongst themselves, Alice looked over at me with a wide smile, waving at me. Jasper and Emmett looked at me, giving me a nod and smile, I waved back with a smile and just ignored my twin sister. Mike moved his chair closer to me, leaning his arm over my shoulders. "So, Natalie, wanna go on a date with me tonight?" I sighed loudly and grabbed his arm in a tight grip, digging my nails into his skin before dropping it into his lap. "For the last time Mike I am not interested in you or anyone at this table, especially of the male gender. I would date Angela before any of you, touch me again and I'll chop your dick off." He quickly covered it and moved away from me, I just shook my head and quickly finished eating. I could see Emmett laughing with Jasper, looking over at me as if they heard it. It must have just been a coincidence, I looked at the blonde that was sitting next to Emmett who was obviously Rosalie and the other one was Edward, she didn't look at me but Edward looked at me confused, as if he was trying to figure me out.
I got up and took care of my tray, looking at my paper, and saw that I had gym. I sighed I had hoped it wasn't anything with Jessica, which I knew she had with Mike. They always had Gym together, it always caused her to have a freakout. I came back over and sat down, leaning in my chair. I was already annoyed for the day with the fact Lauren can't get over herself and Mike thinks I owe him something. I hoped he finally got the hint because I will punch him in the throat if he tries something again. Once the bell finally rang we got up, they took care of their trays, and Jessica and I started our walk to Gym class. Mike had followed behind us but never came and talked to us, I think he knew I was pissed at him. Good.
We walked into the locker room and got changed into our gym clothes, I luckily had another free period so I could use the showers after, and then I would just sit outside Art class until it was my turn to go in. Once I was done I walked into the gym, and the coach threw me the volleyball since I was the first one out, I wanted to groan but I didn't. I hated volleyball but I would have to suck it up. Once everyone came out he gave a couple of other volleyballs to people, we were practicing with partners. I chose Jessica because of course, we started playing and I felt the coach's eyes on me as I played. Jessica started getting a little competitive, spiking it harder at me, I glared at her and spiked it over her. "That's not fair, you played in middle school Nat." I rolled my eyes, "Yeah and I hated it, but I remembered something out of it." She spiked the ball back and I easily spiked it back, she spiked it back and I spiked it up, before jumping it and once again hitting it over her. She tried hitting back but missed, I caught the ball when she threw it at me and just smiled at her.
The coach came over and clapped slowly, I looked at him. "You did really good, do you wanna join the team? We're looking for a team captain." I looked at Jessica before shaking my head, "No I'm not interested in Volleyball, it's not my sport." He took the ball from me, "That's a shame, what is your sport?" "Wrestling, football, and fencing." He seemed a little shocked, "Well we have wrestling and football, come see me after class and I'll hand you the tryouts flyers. It's mainly boys, I hope you'll be good with that." I just smiled widely, "My other school was just guys too, so I'll be just fine. I was captain in both sports, not trying to brag." He laughed, "I would brag if I was you." He tossed the ball back at Jessica who walked over with a huff. "You should have taken team captain," I looked at her, "Why so I compete with you for it all the time? I don't want that, you're great at volleyball, I just got to play a few more years than you. Doesn't mean I deserve the spot, besides you know how much I hate it." "Yeah but I would at least get to play with you, I don't play those other sports."
"You get to hang out with me at home, I know we have no classes together but you can't force me into volleyball." She had a small pout, I rolled my eyes and wrapped my arm around her shoulders. "You'll be ok, Jess, you've been fine without me for a while, me not being in the sport isn't gonna kill ya." "Feels like it will," "So dramatic you are,"
After gym class I went to the teacher's office, he was sitting there with the flyers on his table. "Here you go, I hope you come, it would be great to have a new face on the team. And hey maybe you'll get us some wins." I laughed and took them, smiling. "Thank you, if I get it I might try out for captain," "I'm sure you'll get it, well you better get to class." I nodded and left the room, I went to the locker room and saw it was already emptied, I took my bag to the showers and stripped, putting my clothes in the bag and getting showered. I wanted to take my time since I knew my hair dried fast and I wasn't needed to class for almost an hour. Once I was done I wrapped myself with a towel and dried my hair with another, I always brought two towels with me; Was I ever going to use the schools? Hell to the fuck no.
Once I was all dried I got dressed, sighing and checking the time, I still had twenty minutes until class. I went to my locker grabbed what I needed for art class and just sat in the lounge room, it was just me once again and I liked it that way. I was doodling in my sketchbook until the bell finally rang, my hair was completely dry, you wouldn't even know if I even took a shower. I walked into art class and sat down, looking at the board. I wasn't too excited about art class, it wasn't the easiest subject in my opinion, so at least I would have a little challenge at this school.
