Getting out of Rosalie's car was one of the most nerve-wracking things I've done since being at the school. She intertwined her fingers with mine, I walked past my group of friends and smiled at Jess. She smiled at me and I walked inside with her, she took me to my locker and I threw in my bag. I grabbed what I needed and kissed her cheek, "I'll see you at lunch?" She nodded with a smile and I headed to class, at least I would have Jasper. I could hear the people whisper about Rose and I, I didn't really care about it all. Gossiping didn't bother me, I knew my sister would hear it all. I was excited about the wrestling we had later, I could kick some ass and just let loose. I wasn't sure if I was actually gonna go against someone since I was a girl and I knew how some of the guys thought.
School went by pretty quickly, before I knew it, it was lunchtime. I grabbed my tray and walked by Jess' table, I sat by Rosalie who immediately smiled at me. "The amount of times today that I've been told a guy could change me is crazy, one I am literally single, two if I was dating you nothing could change me because you are gorgeous." Rose smiled widely and leaned her head on my shoulder. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure if I didn't terrify people before they even speak to me I would have gotten that too. I'm sorry me holding your hand did that to you," "Meh, I don't mind, let them think I'm dating you, it'll make it easier when they see you taking me out on dates." She laughed, throwing her head back. I knew it was a shock to see for everyone who was looking at the lunch table, but for me, it was the best sight I could ever see.
"You're so bold sometimes, did you know that?" "I try," She looked at me, licking her lips softly. I quickly looked at my food with a blush, starting to eat. As I ate I could feel eyes on me, I looked up from my plate as I bit into a carrot, seeing Jess looking at me. I smiled and waved, she smiled back. Mike was also looking at me but I just ignored him, I looked at Edward, I remembered when Rosalie told me about what everyone's abilities were. "Hey, I'm not trying to bother you, but can you tell me what Mike is thinking? It's driving me nuts with him staring at me." He looked at me apologetically and looked at Mike before looking back at me. "I don't think you really wanna hear about it... it's not great." I shrugged and he glanced at Rose, "He thinks your relationship with Rosalie, is well gross. I don't think he means it in a homophobic way, I think he thinks it in a she's a Cullen way. He wants to convince you to break up and get with him." I sighed loudly and rolled my eyes, "Thank you, Edward." He nodded at me and I finished my food.
I went to get up but I saw Mike stand with me, so I sat back down. "Hey, Emmett, will you follow me to take care of this? I can't deal with Mike yet," He nodded and stood with me, Mike shrunk down in his seat as we walked over. I put my tray away and walked back with them, "Thank you, I would have been suspended if he tried talking to me." He laughed and we sat back down, Rose's hand found mine and I smiled. "Well, don't you have wrestling with him? Maybe you can beat his ass today," I laughed and shrugged, "Maybe, we'll definitely have to see." He nodded with a laugh, "I might have to skip class and watch, it would definitely be funny to see that." I rolled my eyes at him as the boys agreed, it shocked me a little with Edward, but I didn't mind becoming friends with him. I kept Rosalie's hand tightly in mine, I wasn't ready for her to go to class, I wanted to be with her for the rest of the day.
I had wrestling right after this, and I was at least excited about that since it meant that I had free periods. "Are you skipping with them?" Rose looked at me, "Do you want me to?" "You can see how well I could protect you," She rolled her eyes, a smile on her face. "Yeah, I'll skip with them, it would be nice to see you." I smiled widely and she kissed the back of my hand, I leaned my head on her shoulder. It was only a few more minutes of us just talking until the bell rang, we got up and I headed to the gym. They went inside and sat on the bleachers, the teachers didn't really tell them off since there was no way they were ever behind. I went into the locker room and changed, sighing softly. It wasn't a flattering outfit, and I knew Rosalie was going to laugh at me when we got home, but it was the price I had to pay.
I walked out first, looking over at her. She bit the inside of her hand and punched Emmett's arm, I could see faint cracks on it. He had let out a belly laugh that shook the gymnasium when he saw me. The rest of the boys came out and the coach blew his whistle, I could see the Cullen's flinch but they recovered quickly. He talked about what we would be doing and that we had a game in two months so we had to get on our A game. The coach gave us twins and I happened to be stuck with Mike, which was fine with me. He tried to protest but was shut up quickly by the coach, "She's your captain, Newton! Don't be a scaredy cat, at least try and win." I got into position and so did he, "You know, I don't like you and that Cullen together, she looks like she wants to eat you." I smirked and leaned a little closer, "I really hope she does eat me, have you seen how long her fingers are too?" He blushed and cleared his throat, you would think he got the memo, but he didn't.
"How about after this, I show you how a guy does it. Go on a date with me and I can rock your world," Before I could talk the coach blew his whistle, and I immediately tackled Mike to the ground, slamming his head down. I flipped him bent his leg back farther than it should go and kneeled on his back. I stayed like that until he tapped out, I stood up and looked down on him. "Talk to me like that again and you will find out just how hard I can punch. Leave me and Rosalie alone, Mike, I won't ever date you, and neither will my sister. Go find someone else to harass. You aren't the 'it' guy anymore, and I'm gay." I walked away, watching the other teams, seeing their forms while Mike stayed on the ground. "I would go take him to the nurse, coach." He looked at Mike and waved him off, "He'll be fine until, after class, guys like him deserve it." He winked at me and went to the winners, explaining why the others lost.
I looked over at Rosalie and she winked at me, though I could tell they were a little upset at what he had said. Emmett gave me a proud smile, clapping quietly. I rolled my eyes with a laugh and continued wrestling with another student, winning easily again. Once class was done I knew I would be fine to leave school, but because I couldn't leave without Rosalie I just sat in the library waiting for her classes to be over with. I knew she cared about appearances, so she wouldn't skip the rest of the school day unless she had to. She already warned me that I would have to drive one of their cars tomorrow since they wouldn't be going. It was supposed to finally be sunny, so I would be hanging out at school by myself. I thought about ditching with them but she told me no, so there went that idea.
I wasn't excited about going to school without them, I was hoping that Mike would leave me alone. If not I would just only hang around Jessica, I don't think he was stupid enough to do it in front of her. Once the bell rang that the school was over I got up, walking to Rosalie's class. Once she walked out the door my hand found hers, we walked out the front doors and to her car. I got in as she did, I buckled up and she started driving. "I'm so driving this baby tomorrow," She gave me a look, raising her eyebrows. "Who said you could drive my car?" "I did, and I know you won't tell me no. I'm a safe driver, you know that." She rolled her eyes with a smile, "Fine, but if I find a scratch, I'll punish you." I blushed and licked my lips, "No complaints there," She laughed and pulled into the house. "You're a perv," "Yeah well that's why you like me," "I don't think I agree with that." I laughed and we walked inside. Esme came over and hugged us, kissing my cheek.
"Dinner is almost done, go freshen up." I nodded and headed upstairs, hearing Rosalie following behind me. We walked into my room and I went into my closet, I decided I would shower before bed so I just put on some shorts and a tank top, taking my bra off. I walked out and she looked at my legs and slowly brought her eyes to my face. I just smiled at her, "Like what you see?" She just nodded, smiling at me. I rolled my eyes and sat next to her, bumping my arm into her shoulder. "You're such a dork," "I've been called many things, but dork? Not one of them," I laughed, "Well that's cause you don't show people your dorky side, I'm just lucky." She nodded, holding my hand softly. "I'm the lucky one," "And a sap too!" She laughed and nodded towards the door, "Dinner," I got up with her and we walked downstairs, I sat at the table and Esme gave me my plate and a glass of water. "Thank you, Esme." She smiled widely at me, I started eating while Rosalie talked to me.
I loved hearing her talk, so I didn't mind it at all. I nodded along, taking all of it in. Once I was finished Esme took my dishes and cleaned them with the rest of them, I leaned back in the chair with a sigh. "Thank you all, again, for letting me stay here." Esme waved me off, "You're Rosalie's mate, even if you weren't, it really wouldn't have been a problem, I think I speak for everyone when I say we really enjoy you being here." I smiled and Rosalie nodded in agreement.
